House of Payne

  I agree "SOG." Let me add that this show is soooo predictable. I can see the plot already! :shame: Ole boy's wife is cheating on him: that's why she was late coming back home, and why she forgot to get the cake for the birthday party, and that's why their house burned down! :smh:

Oh well...I'll give it a couple of more views and if this doesn't get better, it's on to another show!

Actually, he's going to find out that she's doing drugs. The second show was a repeat of one of the pilot shows.

I didn't recognize the dark skinned dude that played his son.

If you have never seen his plays, you won't catch a lot of the jokes within the characters.

Brown looked a hot mess, as usual. :lmao:

me neither, but he sholl was a nice chocolate something!

and Brown looked a fool! :emlaugh: unplug his ears lawd! :lmao:

Did y'all notice that huge, yellow, plastic watch that Brown had on? :lmao:
yes, LAWD...he was matching though...I guess that's why he kept asking for the birthday man's watch and other belongings. Those gifts sure were nicer than anything Brown owns.

:lmao:

Aren't you married? Should you be drewling over another man:banana: Just messing with you crit!

Married but NOT blind! I can still spot an attractive man. I don't mind if my husband LOOKS, 'cause I'm 'gon look (at men)! It's the touching I'd have a problem with.

... And I don't drool over other men; I just admire God's work. :D

I look, but I don't wanna touch....well....errrr....I know I shouldn't touch....ummm......errrr...but I ain't gonna touch..:swink:

Yes!!! He is hilarious as usual. And those dayum turquoise shoes. :lmao:

If it weren't for Brown in the 2nd episode, I porbably wouldn't have laughed as much.

Plots are there but need to be carried out better. I was disappointed and wanted more from the first episode. I'll continue to watch the shows weekly but hope Tyler pays attention to the comments from his viewers and makes some changes to keep the audience and perhaps gain more viewers.

oh, trust me...he will. That's another thing I love about him...he's so real and he loves his fans and the critique, whether it's good or bad.

His message board and website are blowing up today.

I thought is was just not that great, but as he said on Tom Joyner this morning, the production has gotten better. These were the earlier episodes. I kept trying to figure out who was queing the laugh track because they did a horrible job. I will try to sit through another episode next week.

True...I noticed the laughing ques to be off as well. It's like they were coming in late, or something.

I still have to give him his props for getting this deal, all on his own terms. I'm sure the show will get better, as it goes along.

Message from Tyler, about the show!

Tyler Perry said:
You made history again!

What can I say? I remember last year HOUSE OF PAYNE aired ten
episodes in only ten markets. And when the first shows aired I got a
lot of messages on the message board saying what they liked and didn't
like. I remember sending an email asking those who didn't like the
show to be patient with it and just watch. Well by the last of the ten
episodes a lot of you who had reservations about the show were in love
with it. You may remember that.

The same is true here. It's very hard to do a sitcom because you have
to set up the characters and get people involved in them and that
takes time. It's hard to explain and develop characters especially
when you only have 22 minutes in an episode. It's much easier in
plays and in movies where I have hours. So, with all of that said I
want to assure you that you have not seen the best of HOUSE OF PAYNE.

I know that you're busy and your time is precious, but what I would
ask that you do, those of you who will, is to continue to watch HOUSE
OF PAYNE on Wednesday at 9. I think a lot of you are going to be
pleased and surprised at the direction the show takes on. I'm only
asking you to commit to the next five weeks?that's it! If you are not
drawn in by then, then this may not be your type of show, but those of
you who will, you'll see this show is going to turn up the heat in a
minute.

To my Die Hard, Ride or Die folks, those of you that have been with me
through all of this, thank you for the love and support. WOW is all I
can say. When you have favor with God He gives you favor with man. And
I can see that to be true with all of you.

Thank you for giving this cast a helping hand. Nobody, I mean nobody
would give them a break. And they are so talented. As you watch you
will see what I mean. So just be a little patient with the show and
stick it out with your boy then you'll see what I mean. And thank you
to all of you that watched, as well as went to the message board. We
need the feed back--the good as well as the not so good. Just know
that I appreciate it and I respect it. I don't care what any critics
say as long as I'm getting the real from you. And a lot of ya'll gave
me the real! (smile)

I am so grateful to God to have people like you in my corner. You made
such a difference. HOUSE OF PAYNE was and is the highest rated debut
of a sitcom in basic cable history. By you all watching you sent the
ratings 94% higher than what was expected. The launch was amazing!
Thank you for helping so many deserving people realize their dreams,
and for helping us to make history.

So please continue to watch if you can. "Meet the Browns" is my next
sitcom starring Cora and Brown and it is all ready to go. So by you
continuing to watch you are helping to pave the way for that one.

Thank you...

TYLER P

Hopefully he'll work out the kinks with House Of Payne and Meet The Browns will be a better presentation.
