Now this I do agree with...I believe in making statements in more ways than one. Some folks just tend to be more verbal & in your face kinda people, with their approaches...and we need folks like Al and Jesse, in our community. I just don't see anything wrong w/that. **shrugs shoulders**

I understand that....I was just speaking in general to W~ about the white and black issue.

But then again....if we want to, not patronizing NBC sponsors for his show.....I'on know....:read:

Al and Jessie always have an agenda. They sue huge corporations for making racist statements or having racist policies.
Who gets the money? Do the actual victims get the money? No.
Rainbow PUSH and Sharpton's organization gets the money.

Look it up for yourselves.
This is nothing more than another "sham" for them to get more money.

Jessie's called Jews "hymies". He called New York City "hymietown".
Did he resign? Was he fired from PUSH?

Sharpton falsely accused three white men of rape? Did he publicly apologize to them? No, yet he ruined the lives of these men with false accusations.

Both Sharpton and Jackson accused the Duke players of being racists. Did they make a public apology? No. Did they offer to resign their position in their organization? No.
These two men helped ruin the lives of nine other men, who happened to be white, but they got off "scott free", without as much as an apology to the men and to their families for accusing them of rape.

How can we, as a people, gain ANY lasting credibility when we allow stuff like that to go on towards another race and not say anything, but as soon as it happens to someone of our own race, we start screaming?

Hate me or not, but just think about it for a moment.

Is that fair? Is that what MLK would've done, or Malcolm, in his latter years?
I don't think so.

And Sharpton didn't falsely accuse anyone of rape, Tawanna Brawley did. Sharpton just believed her and really this is a non-issue in 2007.

My point is we all make mistakes at some point in our lives, but as a grown responsible man you should know right from wrong. Plus would you want someone talking to your daughter(if you had one) like that.

If Tom Joyner or Tony Brown slip up and says a racist word, should either one of them be fired?

Speaking of Tom Joyner, I've heard several phrases spoken by some on the Tom Joyner show about other races of people that could easily have been construed as racist.
Should that particular show be cancelled and all of them fired?

This sensitivity crap is getting way out of hand here.

a white man calls an entire basketball team some nappy headed hoes and we're sensitive? and that's a bad thing, that me as a black woman is upset about that, huh?

I've never heard them use a derogatory name for another race or gender or gay people. Please tell me what you heard if you think they said something of the sort.
 
First of all, air personalities have FCC rules and regulations that they must follow, or they're fined and/or fired, in some cases.

Calling a women's basketball team, full of black women a bunch of nappy headed hoes is against FCC regulations.

J4L you have to realize some people go around looking for anything to hate their own race. Even during slavery some of the slaves told on other slaves trying to escape because they didn't want to mess up what they thought was a good thing.
