It was the bullshat of an ignorant Korean woman.

It amazes me that y'all think the young girl did absolutely nothing wrong. Walk y'all azzes in a store with a book bag and start putting shat in it. Let me know how it turns out.

Except for the symbol on the side, they look the same to me.

You tell me.

Dude, nothing you say justifies a 15-year-old girl being smoked over juice. No way you try to twist it.

Watch to much T.V my azz. I'm from a high crime area and got plenty of folks that still live in it.

I guess everyone else lives in a bubble, since you are the only one on here that is from a high crime area.

I agree with that, but how did it even get to that point is where we disagree. I'm not trying to twist shat. I'm looking at the facts just like y'all are. If the young girl walks to the counter with the juice than we are not having this discussion.

I'm not saying that. You assumed that all I do is watch T.V. and have no experience in areas like that. Hell, those areas are like freaking war zones.

She did do that, but the Korean woman decided to snatch her bag instead of waiting to see what was going too happen next.

I worked for the City of Los Angeles during that time (1989-96) and everything is not what you think it is or as portrayed on T.V.

What would you have done? Let me guess, waited patiently until she walked to the counter and paid for the juice. Make no assumption into why she put the juice in her bag first. I know. Owning a store in a high crime area doesn’t affect you and your way of thinking. All people are honest.

What was the murder and crime rate during that time? Was that being portrayed incorrectly as well? I'm just saying.

I'm not sure what the murder rate was during that time, but I'm pretty sure the Korean woman killing of Latasha Harlins definitely added to it.

True and that Korean was found guilty as well. The judge mucked up the case.

I would agree with that. Even some of my ex-coworkers who some were Koreans thought the sentencing was way too light and the Korean woman should have gotten a much stiffer sentencing besides probation.

I cannot believe that the police are just randomly picking out black men who are minding their own business(not committing any crimes) and just killing them for no apparent reason at all. No resisting arrest...no back talk...no fighting the police...no "Get your hands off of me"...just walking up and shooting a kid for nothing.

MACK, St. Louis is off the chain dude. I got stopped for armed robbery and I was the passenger in a car with a with hat on, who would commit armed robbery with a withe baseball cap on? I also got detained for jogging in my own apartment complex when I lived there< can actually see where the cops would get after a black teen for nothing they did it to me and I was a working adult in St. Louis :smh:

It really seems like not much have changed since the 70's. Even Hollywood had an idea of how things were going down in Black communities. One of Laurence Fishburne very first movies in 1975 was Cornbread, Earl and Me.

From someone that has worked loss prevention at several stores, it is not considered stealing until they walk completely out of the store with the merchandise. We were also trained not to go after them and to call the police if there wasn't onsite security.

Now that's the biggest lie every told. Are we not supposed to think independently and be intelligent enough to form our own opinions and conclusions?

If the only conclusion to a Black child being killed by a cop with an M16 is "Black folk kill each other too", that's not called thinking intelligently.

That's called self hate.

If that's how you choose to live your life, have fun. But don't call yourself Black if some similar bull schitt happens to YOUR child.

Did she walk out without paying?

This is actual a very good debate/discussion. Why do we want outcry in cases like Michael Brown's but not as much in places like Chicago.

Question: How would the black community respond if a black person from a wealthy black family killed a black person from a hood family or vice versa? Wouldn't the rich black family have more to lose?

What makes me upset is that us Southern Blacks in the "country" have been trying to these Northern/Northeastern "urban" blacks that stuff like this still happens. I never have really respected Rev. Al because the South is the HEART and CORE of racism. New York racism is only a branch. The South is where the Genesis of racism began.....and The South once again is where we have any hope of one day killing it. Problem is, Black America is at war with itself.

What would you do if someone walked in with a bookbag and start putting merchandise in it? Is that pretty common? Do you watched that person or just looked the other way? Should the camera follow that person? Do you ask that person what he/she is doing? I put myself in the business owner shoes and unless I know that person if someone walks in my store and start putting merchandise in their purse or bookbag I'm going to watch their azzes mighty closely. I don't care what color they are, black, white, or Asian.

Do you take the law in your own hands and start snatching stuff off that individual? And once you get your azz whipped for putting your hands on them, should you pull out a gun and shoot them in the back of the head while they were walking away?

According to the story the business owner confronted her before that, but she had money in her hand to pay. Terrible end to this story, but when stuff like this happens I always ask myself how did get this far? What started the event from the get go? I take into account the location and why these folks needed a gun in the first place. Owning a store in a high crime area is no joke, but it doesn't justify murdering someone in which this Korean lady did and was convicted. Unless I got my folks near by that could provide protection I couldn't own a business in those type of places. My grandfather owned several small restaurants in Chicago and sold them after being robbed so many damn times. He said it just wasn't worth it so he went into owning apartment buildings instead. Ended up being way more lucrative though.

Thanks for posting the video because it was my first time seeing it. Actually the one below is better since it shows the actual short fight. There was a brief pause and argument after the fight and before the young girl was shot. Who knows what was said, but the clerk had time to gather herself and not shoot that young lady. She should have been convicted of second degree murder instead of man slaughter. No way she should have walked, but like I said the judge mucked this up not the citizens who convicted her.

Dear black folks learn your history!!!! The Black Panthers marched with guns. Showed up on many scenes ready to go to war, yet they did not act with emotions. They were prepared to show the whites, yes we are ready and will go at it with you, but they were disciplined and that is why they got their point across. The looting, stealing and burning down stores in your neighborhood only destroys the property your parents worked hard to get!!!!

My point exactly!! Which I'm sure everyone in this thread knows our History with the Black Panthers.

Do you honestly think a group of "organized" Black folks with guns would get met with the same reaction that that group in Nevada received?

They may not have been met with the same reaction but they would have been well within their rights. Why can't we go the route of expressing our anger...but staying within the legal lanes?!

But right now...with the Supreme Court striking down the gun laws and everyone pretty much walking around with CCW permits...why couldn't a group of men/women got together and marched on the streets of Ferguson and surrounding communities?! Because we don't plan and think anymore. We just get mad and react. If it's not marching and singing songs then we are rioting.

I think that's the point of the exercise.

I don't think there was a "point". or an "exercise"..folks just were reacting out of anger.

Saturday/Sunday morning - They did everything right. Peaceful organized protests that made the Ferguson Police look worse than they already did with the shooting. Why bring out dogs and M-16's to a protest? The nation and the world were watching and had their back

The group Anonymous (hacking group) sent a message to Ferguson police and surrounding police departments that if they try to stop people from protesting peacefully they will take over their internet sets and release the personal information of all the police officers in the department(s) involved.

A few knuckleheads set them back a few steps because they couldn't control their inner n****.

Which is usually what happens. A few animals act like...well, animals.
