All of a sudden huh?
Maybe JSU doesn't have as much authority over the stadium as you think! I think you guys should push for an on-campus facility with all deliberate speed. The commish was not being totally honest about this... the Mayor may have contacted him but has Zero authority on utilizing the stadium. That is the sole responsibility of JSU. All contractual dialog is handled by a JSU employee and paid to JSU. We may have offered the stadium at no fee to the conference with them covering all expenses, But he sounds good! I hope we didn’t charge the conference because it’s a win win for the city and JSU!

But we had the second tie breaker in our favor. Do the schools and the SWAC did the right thing. Some people don't understand compromising even though we live in a society built on it. We will be ok.AAMU is smalltime. That is why the commish told all the schools to cancel this week so he could make up that fake reason for moving the game to Jackson. Yall be blessed tho. LOL
But actually AAMU, dont feel too bad. You lost the first tiebreaker. PERIOD. No matter how many games were cancelled, you lost the tiebreaker. It is written, you cant just change the rules. So if the SCG had been at UAPBs lil stadium, only about 5K fans could have gone.
The SWAC is smart. They had to force this move.
Yea but the city has there own limits still set at 50 percent. All indoor and outdoor venue capacity restrictions have been lifted (including for K-12 events) in Mississippi. The order went into effect at 5:00 PM on April 30th, 2021.
