Our football team has never had APR or eligibility issues... How hard is it really for a compliance office to be in charge of stuff like compliance? :noidea:

I wonder who said this TWO years ago....that guy has NO CLUE what he is doing. NONE
I told SU folks when they hire him, Broussard had NOTHING on his resume that showed he could get SU out of the mess they are in. Not only has he not helped them out of their mess, it has gotten more and more worse....or in SWACPAGE terms WORSER. Im just trying to see how many excuses they are going to make for this guy and how long they are going to put up with this incompetence. You cant tell by his explanation of the situation taht he has NO CLUE about the situation or how to solve it.

Yep, we had a lady named Althea Ringo at JSU who wasn't doing isht for compliance. She was letting Comegy bring anything in he wanted to and never checking twice. We fired her and have been strong in that area since.

BATON ROUGE - Southern starting Left Tackle Reginald Redding took the field against Northwestern State Saturday, but he wasn't suppose to.
The junior was on a list of ineligible players but his name was overread, according to Redding. The list included the three starting defensive backs that were held out of the game, Dionte McDuffy, Kevin King and De'Andre Woodland.
It's the third time Redding has been ruled ineligible this year. Redding hopes to be cleared for this week's SWAC opener versus Prairie View.

I do. I called it from the beginning. I knew this going to happen. These folks waited until dang near kickoff to certify folks' eligibility... OUTSIDE in a parking lot on a bus. :lol:

Stuff like this shouldn't be happening this is bizarre!!! How do you not know who's eligible? The advocate should be ashamed because this is really sad but I guess it is their job to report news. I'm not even going to crack jokes because it is honestly sad af, and doesn't look good. But I will say this tho: it seems like a curse lol I said awhile back not many teams have repeated!!! It is hard to do. TBH if I was an (in)eligible player depending on who you ask lmao I'd quit. That's some bull.

You do...but you didn't say anything ground breaking when he was hired that anyone else who is not a Southernite on here didn't say or believe about Broussard stop acting like you are all knowing, running around here beating your chest like a gorilla beating his chest!

Why should the Advocate be ashamed they cover Southern on all fronts good or bad and this story is from a news station...this player is talking because he might be a transfer who is ineligible not because of his grades but because of classes that were accepted/not accepted...SMH!
