Southern No Compliance Control

And over half our conference is ineligible, but what does Dumb "Donald" Duer does? Says it's all right for them to play for a championship. And what do that tell the schools? That they don't have to fix their problems to get right. So, instead of Duer trying to chastise the schools so that they could get better, he rewards them for being incompetent. After he banned us because we were a few points below.

We need to fire this compliance officer. Obviously he has no clue either. The kid got cleared by him before. You can't go back and say on second thought. Maybe not. Then say oh yeah he is cleared but come back and say no again. If I was Odums and Broussard, I would probably hand my resignation in until the folks at the top of the food chain get serious.

This.........

I actually hate this; i want a strong SU. A competitive and winning GSU, SU, and JSU is good for the SWAC.

Yep, we had a lady named Althea Ringo at JSU who wasn't doing isht for compliance. She was letting Comegy bring anything in he wanted to and never checking twice. We fired her and have been strong in that area since.

JR,
I am starting to believe GR might be right about your AD though.

I see a trend developing after winning the SCG. TXSU, Grambling, UAPB and now Southern all go in the opposite direction after winning the championship. Interesting.

What's y'all excuse? Y'all been in a opposite direction trend for years now. Every since the firing of Joe Reed. Well, maybe even before then.

Obviously you didn't read the post but I will communicate with you. Our collapse occurred in 2005 after winning the 2004 SCG. Since appearing in the 2010 SCG and losing to TXSU, we've been one of the most consistent football team in the SWAC.

Is that why you all are ineligible? You do know that this thread is about eligibility, right? Something your football team is not.

Grambling didn't have APR problems after winning championships. Grambling players are taught early that winning isn't abnormality, but a product of joining our program. TSU had a long history of breaking NCAA Rules and UAPB players were consumed with success.

Now back to the subject;
SU's problem isn't players not going to class, but the lack of proper data entry and record keeping. It's affecting their GRAD Act scores also.

Good diagnosis gRam2009, now can you diagnose BAMA St's problem?

Regardless of the reasons, the last 4 SWAC champions have not had decent seasons after winning the SCG. Southern may reverse the trend. The season is still young.

BB I see I can't have a civil discussion with you. I will follow my Momma's advice. See ya.

Again, the AD ain't the problem. If he had the ultimate power then I would lay blame. You think SU gave Broussard the power he needed to clean house?

B A R L O W, and the constant turnover in the AD position. No real system of checks and balances

But they had eligibility problems before Barlow. The APR came about in 2004 and Barlow became the HC in 2005. Well, I guess he did start the downward trend into the abyss.

Those days are dead and gone. In the words of famous Port Gibson DJ Jay Lang, "Get Your Mind Right or Get Your Ass Left". The SWAC is a 10-Member conference.
