OK so you are in the top 10 of all SWAC Champs of the past 10 seasons since there were only 10...

1997. SU
1998. SU
1999. SU
2000. GSU
2001. GSU
2002. GSU
2003. SU
2004. ASU
2005. GSU
2006. AAMU

Of that list I'd say you are only better than or equal to the one in red.

Then list the MEAC teams from FAMU 1997, 1998, and 1999... NCAT in 1999 and 2003... and OVC TnSU in 1999 (consensus #1 of all in the last 10 years).

Just stop it mane......:goof: :goof: :goof:

Please.......:scared: :scared:

I don't see how in sam hell how this A&M team is in the top 10 teams of the last ten years.

If ayhting the team that Broke off Pete in the Indi that year on BET was better.

UH Jag4life...........that 98 SU team was better than u are giving them credit for. I mean we had a 20 plus TD Qb, a 1000 yard WR in Foreman and Steve Wofford. Not to mention a nasty D. That team would have not lost to PV on any day. LOL. So I can't agree that the 06 AAMU team would get with that Jag team. That was a very fast SU team. Ask BCC. That team beat them 28-2 in the Heritage Bowl.

Yeah but then they'd say they beat that team in 1998. LOL

Yes AAMU did. But that was the 98 AAMU team not the 2006 team. LOL. And since they were D-2 and in transition to 1AA, they were just like PB when they first came back to the SWAC. LOADED with players that may have not been eligible to play at the 1-AA level. Plus they ran that damn option stuff that SU had not seen. I give them props for that win though in Huntsville.

Obviously you'd say it too...since it's true! :retard:

So you agree that that is the only team on the list that AAMU 2006 is close to or better than? There are 14 others on that list not counting the 2nd place 1999 JSU or the 2003 GSU team that were great too. Oh yeah I forgot to add the last 3 Hampton teams...lol Make that 19 teams.

J4L. You are being nice about it. Still won't give them being close to the SU 98 team just because we lost to them that year. Hell their 98 team would beat their 06 team I believe. Just think we almost won in Huntsville with Freshmen playing Qb in 06 and no real running game. Sam George would have won that game if he was our Qb in 06 like he was in 98.

Why can?t yall let that man have his opinion? If he likes A&M then he just likes us. I don?t think JSU has a great band, they are good but not great but TP thinks they are the best. Who am I to disagree with him? That?s his opinion.

Do you think that your hate (from the ass-beatings you've gotten from AAMU) should influence the opinion of others? You need to seek some help, cause those beatings are in the record books and will remain there for posterity!

Po tp! :(

Dude, those beating mean nothing to me or anyone at JSU. We know why we lost and you know why you won. Now, that Bell is gone...:smash:

Also, that 1995 team that you beat won the championship but we were breaking in a slew of new starters in their first game. We struggled that entire year. We won that title by the skin of our teeth...LOL

Obviously his opinion is flawed since no one else was dumb enough to list that sorry team. It may not even be a top 20 team. JSU 2001 was better than that team. Actually, JSU by the end of 1998 was better than that team.

Also, I think the BOOM is the best but I admit my bias. They are the best overall but they lack in many areas. I am just happy that they don't lack in EVERY area like AAMU (from the name of the band on down...:lmao: )

Again this thread is not about who won what in 1998 or 2006, All I am asking is for you all to name the 10 Top BCF teams over the last ten years.

Can we come up with 10.

MD we already did...

If you look at it the consensus is:

TnSU 1999
SU 1999
FAMU 1999
JSU 1999
GSU 2005
SU 2003
SU 1997
Hampton 2006
NCAT 1999
GSU 2003

Just so you all know, the 1997 JSU team went 9-3 and went to the playoffs. We lost to Western Illinois 24-31 in a game that we have several chances of winning. I hear we got cheated 10 times over.

That was JSU's last time in the playoffs. We went from 1995-1997. We would have gone again in 1999 if not for the SCG.

O.K. M.D..........Re: Top 10 teams in last 10 Yrs.

1) Hampton U. .741
2) Southern U. .681
3) Florida A&M .655
4) Grambling St. .652
5) Bethune Cookman .649
6) Alabama A&M .609
7) South Carolina State .598
8) North Carolina A&T .539
9) Jackson State U. .531
T-10) Tennessee State .513
T-10) Alabama State .513

D-2
1) Tuskegee .803
2) Albany State .726
3) Fort Valley .652
4) Winston Salem .581

So you mean 10 PROGRAMS...

I didn't say programs because some schools can win without having a program. But once we get past selecting the ten top teams in BCF over the last 10 years, we can move to my second question. BTW, this is not about picking or not picking AAMU.

JROCK this is what I am looking for. Now I would like to know if everyone agrees with this list.

SOGGY,
Was Hymes suppose to stop Kennedy and ASU's offense?

Remember, that was the game when we had over 620 yards.
If you can figure out a way to blame that loss on Hymes not starting, then oh well....

Remember that Spears was the OC and in hindsight we now know that he was enamored with Bruce as a passer. He called a different game with Bruce at the helm and went to a pass, pass, pass mentality. Against Kennedy it would have been wise to have more of a ball control offense like we used when Hymes was the starter. Against most teams it was Brad Hill on first and second down and Hymes scrambling for a first down or making a big play to keep the chains moving. That's what worked in all the other games that season.

Bama State had the most potent offense and skill position that year than anyone in the conference (including Grambling)... Spears got us in a shootout with Johnny Cole and with Kennedy's experience the advantage went to Bama State. So using this logic (different offensive style), starting Bruce over Hymes did have an impact.

Slightly off topic: Bruce started the next game against Nichols State and we got off to a bad start and the Colonels were all over us in Thibodeaux... Doug finally realizes that this team "belonged" to Hymes and switched him back to qb (dude had 6 catches at the time) and we rallied for the win behind Hymes legs and the defense getting an "uplift" from Hymes... (no more three and outs on those fades that Spears was calling for Bruce).

Yet another stupid post from po tp! Just when we thought you couldn't get any sadder! :smh: JagBR put AAMU on his list, and you said NOTHING about anyone else on his list but AAMU.

Obviously, those ass-beatings meant more than you are willing to admit. That, and you starting (yet another) stupid post begging others to do what JSU hasn't done in 4 years...and won't do this year...beat AAMU!
