Penn State's football problem deserves a football penalty - the death penalty

I think everyone should pay attention to the Montana football rape probe currently being investigated by the NCAA.
 
The "death peanalty" would only punish those kids and coachs on the field that had nothing to do with this. The people at the high levels would still be walking around rich, working in some other high end job somewhere.

PUNISH THE PROGRAM...........OK.
No bowls, whatever. But the players didn't do anything. They were just as in the dark as the other students on campus. The higher ups and the board need to be collectively fired and arrested where necessary.
 



Um, I knew SACS isn't the accrediting board, that is why I said who ever is like SACS in that area. :idea:

The FAMU band did not bring SACS on FAMU, per se. It was their improper financial aid practices with the band that brought SACS on FAMU.

I understand what you're saying. I disagree though. Paterno was Penn State football. And I'm sure he wanted to keep the so-called sterling image intact. His defensive coordinator committing horrendous acts against kids would be a stain on Penn State. A stain on him. So, he'll just sweep it under the rug. He got the power. And he wants to keep that power intact. He's Joe Pa. A living legend. He can just say Sandusky "retired" and then go on being Saint Joe Pa. As if nothing ever happened. And sadly, that's exactly what he did. And this stuff went on for YEARS afterward.

I'm not going to be so naive that some of the players did not speculate something. Yet, I don't believe the entire football program should be punished. What about the players who truly did not know?

I believe if there is proof that others knew then they should be punished other than that don't punish the innocent.

I believe a lot people knew, which I have always said it had to been some part of that area (Happy Valley) sick cultural that hardly got talk about.

I do agree with JR. Perhaps some politicians, federal officials or big time alumnus had something to do with preventing the administration from reporting Sandusky to the authorities. One top of that, they had to be involved with the former Centre County DA that didn't continue with the 1998 investigation and ended up being missing in 2005. It was reported that they found the DA's hard drive from a laptop in the Susquehanna River. It was severely damaged by the water, they couldn't read the information off of it. That smells like a serious cover up...

Yes that is what happened. I condemned Paterno on here long before a lot of other people did. Yes, it would have been a stain, but I can guarantee you that the local and national spin would have been "JoePa courageously confronts his chosen successor," which at the time is what Sandusky was. Paterno played the old, dumb guy role, but he was far from stupid. He knows everyone and their grandma, save a few people who wanted to be contrary for the sake of being contrary, would have defended him. He covered it up, but this wasn't just about protecting his image because a coach on his staff was a pedophile. The entire truth will probably never be revealed, but I'll never be convinced this was simply about Paterno protecting his image.

Maybe they were but they were not pulling any triggers. Even when this story broke, Joe didn't wanna resign. I don't think it's far-fetched at all to believe that Joe and Penn State wanted that record more than anything else.

That's because Joe Paterno was a stubborn old man who knew the power he possessed and the board backing he had.

Even to this day, Penn State has officials on its board who believe Joe Paterno did no wrong and that this was not a football scandal.

The only way Joe Paterno would not have been coaching Penn State football is if there was some hideous scandal that forced him out or he died. If Jerry Sandusky didn't exist and Joe didn't die, dude would still be coaching that team regardless of what records were at stake.
 
I agree that this issue needs to be investigated further...

The former president VP, AD are hiding something even bigger....

and people think kids are born gay lol....come on lol here is an example of Sandusky turning little boys out for his pleasure and lord knows who else...It has always been my belief that older gay men introduce boys to their gay lifestyle through manipulation and other tactics like this

Penn State aint the only place where this sick shit is going on ..trust and believe...these sick bastards just got caught..

I used to be a Joe Pa fan but now I can't say I am....I'm disappointed

I totally agree. If they keep shaking the tree, then something else will fall out. If Sandusky talks, the doors could get blown off. He better got Nicky Barnes and get some witness protection.

Hell, these players were not even there back then. LOL. If they do punish them. Then every player should be allowed to transfer anywhere penalty free with all eligibility in tack.
