Penn State's football problem deserves a football penalty - the death penalty

Re: Penn State should decide to sit out one year

LOL. The Head Coaches do their media day just like every other conference. It was no reason for Sandusky to be there with Joe Pa. Joe probably had his players and his son with him on those trips. And why do you think other coaches were even cool with Sandusky. While he was chasing boys. Them other mofos were looking for the hoes on those trips. LOL.

Now I understand, Joe Paterno kept Sandusky's sick secret isolated from others until he got back to Happy Valley.

And now lack of instutional control will run wild. Don't scream "the man getting us" when it is used to destroy one of our programs. The players committed no violations yet ya'll on here screaming for their heads.

This was Penn States "Management" and BOARD that did this.

Exactly. The focus is on Penn State right now, but on down the line one of our schools could be the focus, not necessarily on child abuse, but some other moral or ethical issue.

This would give the NCAA more power to put our programs on the sideline for perhaps something far less than child sexual abuse.

Re: Penn State should decide to sit out one year

What about Syracuse basketball with that assistant molesting boys??? Where is/was the cry for the death penalty there???

Re: Penn State should decide to sit out one year

Penn State will more than likely get what Alabama got after the Albert Means fiasco. Damn near the death penalty, but not the death penalty.

Here's something to guide you all on major football scandals http://content.usatoday.com/communi...ncaa-scandals-football-history/1#.UAc5EWHcOd8

The Article highlighted said:
17. Bidding war for Albert Means takes down Alabama(5): Means was shopped around by his high school coach and Alabama booster Logan Young was convicted in 2005 of paying $150,000 to bring him to the Crimson Tide. That put Alabama on probation for five years, in a case that some thought might draw the death penalty.

Also, what's not mentioned in this, Long died after this, plus Bama was docked 21 schollies for a 3-year period, and had a 2-year bowl ban and no TV for a large chunk of that probation.

Also, Kentucky was hit with some probation for this too...

Not that I have a strong opinion about the death penalty in this situation, you really can't compare the two cases. The Penn State case is one of decades of coverup and a criminal conviction, whereas the Syracuse case was mostly unfounded/unproved accusations with less than credible accusers who kept changing their stories.

Again, you are saying that the Big 10 schools knew what he was doing. I am saying how would they? Why would Sandusky be stupid enough to bring folks in he couldn't trust. So you are basically saying since Les Miles was an assistant at Michigan and Nick Saban was the head coach at Michigan State during Sandusky's time. That they help keep this secret too, because they all hung out together and knew. Hell, since Tony Dungy is a Minnesota alum and hung out around Big 10 coaches all the time during the off season. I am sure he knew about Sandusky pleasures. Surely someone told him from the Gophers staff. Surely some Penn State ex football players told their pro coaches about Sandusky and his exploits. Lovie Smith was an Ohio State assistant at one time, so I am sure he ran across Sandusky along the way or knew what he was doing. You see how this doesn't really jive that other folks outside of Penn State and that area would be in on this? You would have to ASSUME even some BLACK assistant coaches across the country allowed this to go on when Sandusky rolled into their town or at one of their coaches clinics or camps. Dude evaded the police this long. That lets you know he was careful on the road where he had no protection from folks who didn't give a rats arse about Penn State, Joe Pa or him.

Does Rick Comegy know about this? He is from Pa. He hung out with all those cats in the area up there. He has those ties. Surely in all the years of him coaching and being from PA he heard about Sandusky and his exploits. After all, Comegy went to a Penn State System college in Millersville where he played ball and coached there. I am quite sure they did camps or went to learn something from the Joe Pa and their staff during his time up there.

How long did FAMU hazing ritual go on before someone died and was it an isolated incident that only occured with FAMU's band? Just like nobody wanted to believe that Good Ole Joe Pa. had any knowledge of Sandusky sick self, I'm sure there were others outside of Happy Valley that knew what Sandusky was doing. A person just don't wake up one day and start molesting little boys in his 50's and 60's. I'm sure Sandusky had plenty of friends and contacts outside of Happy Valley, especially those associated with Penn States and the Big-10 Conference.

What happened at FAMU is totally different. The hazing culture has been around ALL colleges for a long time. Wisconsin Band has one more time to screw up and they are gone for more than a game or so. They haze. Black bands just did it differently. No secret life about hazing. Folks didn't even try to cover it up during our era. LOL. The rules of the game just changed. But being a pedophile has always been something nobody wanted to get out. And my comments have nothing to do with Sandusky being a pedophile in his 50s and 60s. We all know he did this for a long time. But you are trying to say every Big 10 school knew about it or trying to say they kept it on the low low because they played Penn State and they must have seen something over 2 decades when he was on the road with some boys in a hotel or something. What I am saying since you want to go that route. You better include ALL people who came in contact with him over the years. That's why I mentioned the names I did. Some of them are now in HBCU jobs. So if Sandusky was so open about his pedophile ways and EVERYONE who came in contact with him over the years enough times should have known he was that way but covered up for him. You are indicting a bunch of folks. What it seems like that you don't like Big 10 schools and want to lay blame on the rest of them for Penn State's and their local area failures for not protecting those kids.

Why would any coach from any other Big 10 school be in the know about Sandusky? You think Joe Pa sitting around chatting with Nick Saban said, by the way you know my DC is a pedophile? You think Joe Pa told Lloyd Carr or Kirk Ferentz that I need you and your assistants to be quiet about what you see Sandusky do on the road when we visit your town for a game? So the Big 10 just sat by and allowed all this deviant behavior to happen? And just because Sandusky was say cool with a Nick Saban or Les Miles. Do you think he was stupid enough to let them see what the hell he was doing during those days when they all met up at some clinic or some Big 10 function. You also realize that Penn State was not in the Big 10 until 93? So are you going to blame the other schools that played Penn State before Penn State became a Big 10 school. Obviously with the guys from the 70s coming out and saying they got molested by Sandusky back then means he was doing it in his 30s and 40s and probably in his 20s too. You trying to make it sound like is it a Big 10 culture problem. Sandusky probably didn't even hang with anybody outside of his own click in Happy Valley and Penn State. Dudes like that don't like women so why would he hang out with the women chasing coaches. Them dudes probably thought Sandusky was a happily married old man since he was older than most of those assistant coaches and didn't even hang with them. I didn't hang with everybody when I marched in the Jukebox and can't tell you what a mofo did during that time. Hell I don't know everything my line brothers did when they were out of my sight. LOL.

I agree. I cannot help but agree.

I'm sure you typed the above information in the defense of the Big 10 and especially Ohio State, but like you said before, Sandusky is keeping his mouth shut for a reason. I'm sure there is more to the story than just Sandusky and Penn State. Just don't be surprised if they decided to open Pandora's Box. There's more evil with big money schools than any.
