Paula Deen accused of calling Obama N-word

After hearing of all the reports of racism it shows just how ill-will she was and how evil of a woman she was and there may be no telling how many times or how much she has done to others in the process--if those stories are actually true. It is almost like she went on a binge in racism and just wanted to relieve or express what she has been dying for or maybe it has just come out what she has done all her life :noidea:!

I don't think Paula Deen is a racist; however, I think she is a white woman who has no filter and has allowed her family to run the business anyway they saw fit. The complaint mostly focuses on her brother, Bubba who I feel is a stone cold racist. They possibly has policies in place that kept darker skinned blacks relegated to the kitchen while light skinned and whites work up front. This is much more important than a 60+ year old white woman saying the "N" word in my opinion.

There has been more racist forthcoming's since the President got elected then when Kennedy was in office.

For real.
The only Paula Dean restaurant in Mississippi is in Tunica at Harrah’s resort and its a buffet restaurant. Just like you said, she got a bunch of black people cooking just like most of these "southern restaurants" run by white people. I have never been there so I have never put a dime in her pocket.

But like I said, I am not going to short myself on good food just because Paula Dean was a closet bigot. It's case by case with me. I will continue to go to the Cock of the Walk for my Catfish and Greens when I get the urge just as I always have.

I totally Agree Bro!!

She gone learn today!

Well during her interview on the "Today" Show she suggested the bigger problem is the use of the N-word amongst young African Americans.

She's gonna teach you black folks right!! :slap:

Yep.
But her cookbook is projected to be a runaway #1. Her die hard supporters she has gained over the last 6 years are making sure of that. They can't stop the endorsements from being dropped, but her "personal empire", books, cookware, etc will not suffer. Her customer base will continue to buy no matter what.

are you buying her stuff?

are you buying her stuff?

:goof:..................Nope..................
Have not even tasted her food. She was just another mofo with a cooking show to me. One of the cooking show herd that are on tv 24/7.

To me, what Paula Dean was doing was nothing special. I can get that kind of food on every block in Mississippi. Paula Dean southern cooking to SOUTHERNORS would be like someone opening a Creole Restaurant in New York and expecting people from New Orleans to be impressed. People that grew up eating it would be like "whats the big deal?"

Paula Deen has hired "Olivia Pope"

http://madamenoire.com/283810/paula-deen-has-hired-scandal-inspiration-judy-smith-for-pr-help/

Media reports say Paula Deen has hired Judy Smith, the inspiration for Scandal‘s Olivia Pope, for some much-needed public relations help. If anyone needs a fixer, it’s Paula.

Smith & Co. will likely try to focus attention on the business partners that have stuck by Ms. Deen so far, including Novo Nordisk, maker of the diabetes treatment Victoza; Springer Mountain Chicken; Landies Candies; and Tasty Blend Foods,” Ad Age says. Tasty Blend even released a statement, the magazine reports, that says they’re “pleased” with the Today interview, and “personally endorse” her and “what she stands for.” Landies Candies echoed the statement. Random House, which was scheduled to publish Deen’s latest book this fall, says they continue to monitor the situation, but plans are still in place.

Good Luck. If the media chooses to continue focusing on this story (you know how we lose attention quickly)...they've only been dealing with the "N-word" scandal...wait until it starts focusing on her treatment of women and how she kept them inferior to their male counterparts. I bet those companies like Tasty Blend that "personally endorse" her start re-thinking that comment once the women get pissed off.

This has to do with the Trayvon Martin trial, but it conveys exactly what I've been trying to say. I found this on Facebook and I'm reposting it here.

I wrote an article about Paula Deen's use of the N-word and how white people are losing regard for our painful past but after watching the George Zimmerman trial, I deleted it.

Trayvon Martin's friend, Rachel Jeantel, was mocked and ridiculed yesterday via social media, and from what I could see, 99% of it was from her own race. She's only 19 years old, under more pressure than any of us could imagine, and was involved in a tragic situation of being the last to talk to her friend who was killed shortly thereafter. Instead of embracing her, we make jokes about her weight, her public speaking, and of ALL things....her color.

We can't hold white people to a higher standard of respecting black people than we hold ourselves. We can't punish them for hating us and "holding us back" while leading by example and showing them how it's done. There's by FAR more black people that hate black people than there are white people who hate black people. We show it by the self-hatred we project on those like Rachel Jeantel in times like these.

But this isn't new. We did the same with Gabby Douglas when her "ponytail was undone" as she won gold medals. Remember?

I'm not saying I ever excuse the acts of racist people vs. blacks. I just want us all to be aware that we're DARING them to do the very thing we are DEMONSTRATING.

The worst thing about all this is, those that need to hear this message, probably won't.
