I still give it up for the character itself and for the other character Q. In spite of their negative actions, I always look forward to seeing brothers on the screen who are ambitious, driven, and will do what they can to succeed. In real life, I do believe that when you burn others, that energy will comeback on you some kinda way.

Nevertheless, I look forward to seeing what the writers will present in season 3. Some intriguing characters are gone but it seems like they are talented enough to bring in more different characters to keep us intrigued.

I sure hope Reg isn't actually dead. But he was never supposed to be on the show this long according to the actor who plays him. He just got popular with fans so they added to his role.

The Chi’: Justin Hillian Named New Showrunner As Ayanna Floyd Davis Exits; Birgundi Baker Upped To Series Regular; Luke James, La La Anthony & Lil Rel Howery To Recur

LA LA and Lil Rey are not good fit for this show.

Showtime unveiled the new trailer for the Lena Waithe-created coming-of-age drama The Chi and announced that it will return for its third season on July 5 at 10 pm ET/PT.
The Chicago-set series will welcome back Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Jacob Latimore, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Shamon Brown Jr., Michael V. Epps and Birgundi Baker. Writer Justin Hillian (Snowfall) is set to serve as showrunner and executive produce this season which will include guest star Luke James (Star, Little) who play Victor “Trig” Taylor, Jake’s (Epps) estranged older brother who wants to reunite his fractured family, but takes an unconventional approach. Alani “La La” Anthony (Power) will play Dominique “Dom” Morris, a savvy businesswoman with dreams of more lucrative opportunities. Lil Rel Howery (Get Out, Bird Box) will play Zeke Remnick, the owner of Sonny’s (guest star Cedric Young) building who cares less about the community than the bottom line, and Kandi Burruss (The Real Housewives of Atlanta) as Roselyn Perry, the estranged wife of Douda (guest star Curtiss Cook), back at his side to influence his political agenda and to help herself. In addition, Waithe will appear in a multi-episode arc as a Chicago mayoral candidate.

I heard the rumors, I even thought in one of the earlier scenes in the first season that one of the chicks hanging out with Reg's character (played by Barton Fitzpatrick) looked like a tranny. Yet it was confirmed that the character was killed off because Barton refused to play role with a tranny as a love interest.

On top of that, I know Jason Mitchell is not perfect but I just think he got played by the higher ups. It just seems like there are more things behind the scenes with this show that they are not telling us and we will never know.

Anyhow, we will see how successful season 3 will be without both of these well liked characters.

I feel like this show might not live up the the last two season which the amount of characters being replaced. At this point I only want to see how the new character, Taz, will go up against Douda.

The first episode of the new season is up. Looks like that rumor was true because the older brother is dating a trans on the show. Overall, I thought this was a nice way to start the season. Will discuss more once everybody has had a chance to watch.

My random thoughts for Season 3 Episode 1:

Reggie and Brandon are missed, no escaping around it....

I love the continuous festive occasions that are shown throughout various scenes (weddings, dancing, etc)...I never get tired of seeing Black People celebrating...

I kinda feel like a Black LBQT agenda is being thrown hard at viewers. I know it all comes from Director Lena Waite because that is her lifestyle. Okay...

Ronnie...they still got him acting crazy and not getting respect. His character is just so hard to watch.....

Brandon's Mom was the worse...she needs to heal so bad...

Emmett's girl has so much game. I just don't trust her...

Why does it feel like I know Darnell and Jada...LOL

In season 3, they made Douda so bad and untouchable. Yet just like that Reg's older brother comes out from nowhere, finds him and threatens him? ...and why not just kill em right then and there like the other dude? I like that someone is on Douda but it just didn't make sense how it all flowed. No continuity....

Overall, I have no idea where all this is going...They have increased the drama. I don't like that but still, I'm intrigued enough to keep watching for now.....

The lovemaking scene with the dildo, lesbo jokes, and tranny (I've seen some hilarious comments)....I know it all comes from Director Lena Waite because that is her lifestyle. Okay...I was peeping that Stud's game though. She reminds me of a former co-worker who was good peoples and always looked out for everyone. But anyway....

-When it comes to Ronnie, the trailer shows that somewhere down the line, he gets baptized. I think he's going to find religion through Common's character which will lead to his redemption. At this point I'm also tired of his character
-I have no problem with the with the LBGT relationships, but the fact that Taz is dating a tranny proves the rumor about why Reg left and that disappoints me. I doubt this Taz character would have popped up if he didn't quit the show.
- I hope Emmett's relationship with his girl turns into something positive down the line.
-Glad to see Sonja Sohn pop back up in the show. She did a good job with that opening scene. I feel like that's going to be the only time we see her though.
-That sex scene wasn't too bad. Wasn't expecting them to have her whip out a strap on though lol.

Talking about soft porn.....DAYUM!
I deleted comments I posted earlier or so I thought. More I could have said more but........

The question now is, who kidnapped ole girl. Most people will say the Track coach is the #1 suspect. I'm thinking that Ronnie's appearance was made for viewers to think he could be involved but he will probably help to find Keisha and redeem himself. But you know who I immediately thought of? The new stepmom/dad. We don't know her yet. Why was she trying so hard to win Keisha and Kevin over with those gold necklaces. She got a lot of loot. Where in Chicago is she getting in from? Maybe she didn't have anything to do with it, but until we know more about her, I would keep my eyes on her.

You know the bulldagger is Darnell's ex-wife? Reggie's older brother is also going to be interesting character. Because, he is going to be on Mr. Perry's tail. Now, the only drawback for me is the LGBT being pushed on this season.

I don't mind the LGBTQ stuff because we already know what type of person Lena Waithe is. The strap on scene added some shock factor.

I've noticed that every site I go to thinks the new chick is a transgender, but after doing some digging, I think she might be a natural female with a manly face.
