What a great 1st year coaching staff for a HBCU! Mad props to Deion Sanders on this list. Jackson State is getting ready to be a FCS force.
Yes, I believe so also. But you have some who believe in pushing their radical agendas 📋 with Fake News. Great things are happening at 1400 Lynch Street. Dont let the radicals take your focus from the good things going on because they wasnt granted an interview.

Right now on paper the only team in the SWAC that can stop JSU is JSU. Keeping TC Taylor in any role was crucial. Talent will not be an issue at JSU. The key will be bringing possibly 2 teams together to function as one. The current players want to play and anyone transferring in for sure is coming in to play immediately. Sometimes these variables cause internal bickering. Hopefully, TC will have the ear of the current players to keep them on task.

Current players have been knowing about and been on board with everthing going on since 9/21. They are excited about the talent the coaches are bringing in and can’t wait for the heightened competition so there won’t be any bickering as many of you think. Our guys are all in and have even been upping their work ethic in the off season because of it. They honestly can’t wait to get back and get to work with the new staff and players because they know it only makes them better. They know what their goals are and what they should be focused on and that’s championships and graduating.

Well stated

We have another addition to the staff coming WR/Passing game coordinator. No concerns here.

Coach Flea RB coach was OC at Bowie state
Coach Markuson OL coach was OC at Ole Miss
TC Taylor TE coach was OC at Nccu
Current OC has been OC in the highschool ranks (as well as head coach)
Coach Prime has been OC at trinity for about 3 years

Offensively we are in good hands

Markuson is a gem. Trench work matters

You got a former oc from Ole Miss on staff as an ol coach and yet you are putting a high school coach with no experience as a Division I oc as your oc? Looks like a waste of coaching experience from the ol coach.

Hence why we all know to do the opposite of what you type. As quiet as kept we have SEVERAL former OCs on the offensive staff.

Coach Prime former OC
TC Taylor former OC
Coach Flea former OC
Mike Markuson former OC

Jason Phillips resume is excellent and he HAS been OC and is currently Co -OC

Phillips is at an HBCU - how times have changed.

You probably remember this already, but he and Deion are close friends from their dirty bird days with the falcons. Deion mentioned how hard he and Phillips would go at each other in practice during his HOF acceptance speech.

I mentioned Phillips name to some alums as a possible head coach several years ago, but we don't really do football smart at my TSU.

Phillips interviewed at a SWAC school in the past due to a tie from the AD and wanted another but he always had crazy asking prices. Guys like that can get caught in coaching purgatory hanging around FBS staffs to get nowhere but it appears he realized what he has to do to be in position to get a another gig.

All of this yaya and still no talk about his coaching pedigree. If the guy can coach, what business is it of his asking price?
