All I am saying is place Ice Cube on the show, let him talk about how his music changed America. NWA was statement. When they said fugg the police it was about Racial Profiling in L.A. against black. Yet that was missed. There was a message.

It's just sad that it's lead to this where people cannot be recognized for the things they do by someone who is in a position to aide the change. Oprah has that position and these rappers need their just due. Half those people in Oprah's crowd would have a difference of Opinion if Ice Cube...Osha Jackson...was in front of them discussing his AME Faith, his LONG time wife, and being a father.

DSN, I am with you and Nice on the Ice Cube deal. In my opinion Ice Cube has made his mark. White America has already embraced him. So does he need Oprah too.........nah. Does she need him........of course not. Do I think she was remiss in not having him but had his cast on her show. Of course. Especially since it was his movie. What is even more bothersome is she had Cube and the cast of Boyz in the Hood on back in the day. When Cube was still hard gangsta rapping. So I wonder what happened for Oprah not to want him on the show now. Something that makes you say mmmmmmmmmm.........

No read back and ask yourself, have I bashed Oprah? I am just a proponent of a black man who has transformed himself in to a leader in his craft, and to me, it would be a kind gesture for Oprah to say, simply, talk to me brother.

Is Oprah the ONLY person who has an audience who they can tell their story to? Let ya'll tell it, only white women watch Oprah so why should she let them come on her show when they probably don't know who Ice Cube is?

You can't have it both ways. 1st yall say she doesn't help the black community enough but then you want her to get these rappers on her show to tell their thug to man to husband to entrepreneur stories. Again I ask, is she the ONLY avenue to get their story out? Surely Oprah isn't the ONLY black successful person who has a voice. I guess her putting rappers on her show will make you tune in.

The best thing Cube can do is ASK HER.

I think Cube must have hit that and left it back in the days and now she's salty.

And on that note, Mods can you please close this thread.

It's not just any rapper it's Ice Cube.

I don't watch Oprah much anymore because of time and she does not interest me as much. Yet, I would like to see the interesting dialouge between the two. I don't think Cube would come on stage with a jerry curl and a scully screaming fugg the police. It would be an interesting show with two people expressing their views on various subjects.

Like I said, Oprah gets mad props from me, so does Cube.

I'm not going to bash Oprah or call her out of her name. She has done a lot of good for black people.

One of the most interesting things that Oprah could ask Cube would be, "How did you explain to your children about your past?"

provocative

adj 1: serving or tending to provoke, excite, or stimulate; stimulating discussion or exciting controversy; "a provocative remark"; "a provocative smile"; "provocative Irish tunes which...compel the hearers to dance"- Anthony Trollope [ant: unprovocative] 2: exciting sexual desire; "her gestures and postures became more wanton and provocative"

They stimulate many men. Kim might now. :lmao: But Beyonce does.

I am sure he can. But hey like Nice said. It is her show. I like Oprah, but she is a human being and she has her flaws like all of us. She takes sides like we all do. So I just leave it at that. Just like she took Jennifer Anniston side in the Brad Pitt deal. Who knows what really happened. But hey she is Oprah's friend. Doesn't mean it was right. Same for whatever happened with Ice Cube. Heck Oprah loves some Jamie Foxx and we all know he has said all kinds of stuff especially on his album and in stand up comedy. So maybe she just don't like Cube for some reason or maybe the media has it blown up. It really isn't that serious. I will continue to buy my boy Cube's music and I will still like Oprah.

LOL @ the thread turning into a male vs female deal.

Ntel..........you the man.:goof:

But if her audience doesn't resemble me and you as YOU said, who exactly would be watching and listening to Ice Cube?

I was wondering when you were going to come and have your words.

Oprah must be paying rent for you................:emlaugh:

You like her, I DON'T..............never have......................don't care how much money she has to BUY like-ability.

Ya'll come on here and dog every man with a little fame unabashed, but let someone say something about the FEMALE MESSIAH, and all "neck rollin".............err ....................heck break out.<a href="http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxmk873DTUS" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_21.gif" alt="Roll" border="0"></a>

People who deem him a thug, and don't understand what he meant about Fuggg the Police.

It's about giving him a chance to go on a powerful woman's show. Oprah has power...hands down. Oprah is to me the Female Black Leader....PERIOD.

If you can't say anything nice, resort to calling her out of her name or speaking of sexing her. Hey if that's the best you can do....:(
