Dr. Sweet NUPE said:All I am saying is place Ice Cube on the show, let him talk about how his music changed America. NWA was statement. When they said fugg the police it was about Racial Profiling in L.A. against black. Yet that was missed. There was a message.
It's just sad that it's lead to this where people cannot be recognized for the things they do by someone who is in a position to aide the change. Oprah has that position and these rappers need their just due. Half those people in Oprah's crowd would have a difference of Opinion if Ice Cube...Osha Jackson...was in front of them discussing his AME Faith, his LONG time wife, and being a father.
Dr. Sweet NUPE said:No read back and ask yourself, have I bashed Oprah? I am just a proponent of a black man who has transformed himself in to a leader in his craft, and to me, it would be a kind gesture for Oprah to say, simply, talk to me brother.
JR said:DSN, I am with you and Nice on the Ice Cube deal. In my opinion Ice Cube has made his mark. White America has already embraced him. So does he need Oprah too.........nah. Does she need him........of course not. Do I think she was remiss in not having him but had his cast on her show. Of course. Especially since it was his movie. What is even more bothersome is she had Cube and the cast of Boyz in the Hood on back in the day. When Cube was still hard gangsta rapping. So I wonder what happened for Oprah not to want him on the show now. Something that makes you say mmmmmmmmmm.........

You can't have it both ways. 1st yall say she doesn't help the black community enough but then you want her to get these rappers on her show to tell their thug to man to husband to entrepreneur stories. Again I ask, is she the ONLY avenue to get their story out? Surely Oprah isn't the ONLY black successful person who has a voice. I guess her putting rappers on her show will make you tune in.
I think Cube must have hit that and left it back in the days and now she's salty.JR said:DSN, I am with you and Nice on the Ice Cube deal. In my opinion Ice Cube has made his mark. If you had not noticed,.....I am black and I RELATE TO MANY things that are on Oprah's show.

J4J said:The best thing Cube can do is ASK HER.
But if her audience doesn't resemble me and you as YOU said, who exactly would be watching and listening to Ice Cube?Dr. Sweet NUPE said:It's not just any rapper it's Ice Cube.
I don't watch Oprah much anymore because of time and she does not interest me as much. Yet, I would like to see the interesting dialouge between the two. I don't think Cube would come on stage with a jerry curl and a scully screaming fugg the police. It would be an interesting show with two people expressing their views on various subjects.
Like I said, Oprah gets mad props from me, so does Cube.
I'm not going to bash Oprah or call her out of her name. She has done a lot of good for black people.
One of the most interesting things that Oprah could ask Cube would be, "How did you explain to your children about your past?"
