Folks Getting PO'd - Unarmed Black Teen Killed by Police in MO

sigh....yea the choke hold used has been deemed illegal.....but he clearly was resisting arrest. Maybe they should have tazed him....but given his bad health, that probably would have killed him too. How about just chilling out and doing what they ask you to do....answer their questions....if you're not doing anything wrong...the most you're losing is some time out of your day...instead of your life.

They shouldn't have even TOUCHED dude in NYC, let alone taze or choke. He was just standing there talking. They never even told him he was under arrest. Someone just snuck him from behind. Over some cigarettes.

Man, history with the police is so conflicting, it's crazy:

I loved watching the FBI Files on Discovery Channel when it was airing. There were three episodes that stood out me, "Dixie Mafia"- the judge and his wife on the Coast who were murdered
"Operation Shattered Shield"- about corrupt New Orleans Police officer Len Davis
"Cop Killer"- Ralph McClane shooting Washington, DC cops

I wonder how the black cops in Ferguson feel right now?

What you talking about ain't got nothing to do with that kid in Missouri getting blown away by the cops for no reason. NONE.

We always to this. Every time our people are faced with injustice someone tries to either change the subject or find away to blame the victim or our culture for what happened. Tired of it.

An injustice is not sitting down talking to our kids about the being BLACK and not being in a Mickey Mouse wonderland that there are racist folks out here ready for a kid to **** up. I don't like it but it's the way our society is....hell as a young kid I was told not to be around a bunch of guys. It's sad but what frustrates me even more is when there is a social media outcry when the cops do something wrong....but when Ray Ray kills JJ....there is no social media outcry for that injustice. They both deserve equal attention.

Would there be any outcry for someone to have robbed him and killed him?

I think we should hold police accountable but we should each other just as accountable.

If he were robbed and choked ON CAMERA by a group of non-cops it likely would have had outcry as well, plus the dudes would have been ID'd and arrested quickly (like the person videotaping Gardner's killing was).

Has the cop been arrested?

I always tell folks, look at Fox News..........Then the next thing I tell them is there are lot of people around you just like that (including in the police force)............I could go into more details but some things folks have to figure it out for themselves. Yes, you work around these people every day too that have that type of mentality and spend your money at their businesses........Lastly, you have stepin fetchins like a loyal pet that will hurt you for those same people and sleep well at night.........degree don't have shiat to do with it. You have the street steppin fetchin and the suite fetchin stepping.....socio economics don't have a monopoly on it......Hell some of their mothers teach them this......and more.......figure it out.

The magic word is likely...but no one would have stood around and recorded someone being robbed.

Would the black community support me if I became a serial shooter of cops no matter their race? We support gangsters more than a kid graduating college.

Hell is raised even when a black kid graduates a PWC over HBCU...

At the end of the day we have some bad officers...and we have some dudes out there who will test their luck...let's be real. I'm on parole and I have gotten 5 speeding tickets. Never once...not once...were any of the officers disrespectful. Two even reduced the speed so that I that I would not have to pay a heavier fine.

I also have some homeboys and female friends who are cops and they go above and beyond. So I'm not going to sit here and group all police officers in a bag and say they are vengeful, vindictive, and spitfull people. Yet, I'm not going to say that there are not some who are simply foolish.

So you're just going to overlook the statement made about the kid pushing the cop back into his car and fighting over the gun....

there's a photo of the kid laying on his stomach in the middle of street with blood running from under his head. Nothing in the street but him.

They would have been able to either stop it or prevent it from beginning.

Can't stop the cops.

Now I strongly disagree with a choke hold....even tasing someone. They may have a heart problem... As far as the NYC thing the choke hold was TOO excessive.

People refuse to believe the cop harass for no reason. They do all the time.

What's the deal with those cops in Tulsa who dumped they're daughter in a homeless shelter and then she hooked up with a guy there and moved in with the dude's (who looked like he might have been part black) family...then the girl's cop father went to the house and shot and killed dude?

Regardless of anything else, shooting an unarmed teens with his hands up is straight up Murder.

Was not this kid and police involved in a physical altercation before the shooting? I could have sworn I read that some where.

Don't know the motive for the shooting. Won't find out until charges are filed. The cop didn't go the kid's house. He was driving around and saw them walking in the street. Then that's when everything went down.

Seems odds that the dad would abandon his adopted daughter then shoot her boyfriend (he never met before).

So she was adopted...when I saw her she looked to be biracial. I read someplace that the mother and father were being charged but maybe that site wasn't reliable. The mother cop had all kinds of disciplinary actions against her. One said she reported being at work for two or three days when she was home the whole time. Another said she never showed up for a backup call.

That was in the police report. No victim has attested to that yet. There are still more facts that need to come out.

Yeah, they adopted three girls, including the one they kicked out.

Dad is being charged with first-degree murder and shooting with intent to kill. The mom is being charged with accessory because she didn't give up her husband right away and reportedly tried to hide the gun.

They both were cops for 24 years. Dad never had any discipline issues at the department. Clean record. Mom had some minor violations, though.

Killing in the hood do get attention. Lots of attention. By the press and the folks in those communities. Don't you know how many stop the violence campaigns, rallies and marches there have been? Too many to count. All these programs and initiatives you see are in response to the violence. So you'd be misguided to think that nobody cares about violence in the hood.

The difference between what happened in Missouri and what happens in the hood is that cops often get off for murder.

See this is the thing if we know that some police are on some BS we should push our states and cities to invest in more cameras. Keep everybody honest especially these "so called" eye witnesses.
