The case in New York is beyond baffling to me. They went after this dude over cigarettes?
Killing in the hood do get attention. Lots of attention. By the press and the folks in those communities. Don't you know how many stop the violence campaigns, rallies and marches there have been? Too many to count. All these programs and initiatives you see are in response to the violence. So you'd be misguided to think that nobody cares about violence in the hood.
The difference between what happened in Missouri and what happens in the hood is that cops often get off for murder.
I never understood the riot in your own neighborhood concept?Killing in the hood only gets attention if it's in a major city. Otherwise, it's a moot point. And even then it only gets attention because they want to make black folk look worse than we already do. They don't do it because they actually care. And half of the killers in the hood get off too because no one will say a word about who they are and there's no video to put on the news. All that attention is, is basically "look at these fools killing themselves." Not "something has to be done to stop this." If that were the case the national guard would've been sent into the southside of Chicago or New Orleans long ago.
You don't see people outraged about that type of stuff ANYWHERE NEAR the way you do when something like this happens. No one riots and burns down buildings and loots (in their own neighborhoods at that) when 50 people are shot in Chicago over the weekend. Keep it real.
Did you hear about the news crew that got van broken into while they interviewing folks in some neighborhood in northwest DC about the app telling folks to stay away from they're hood? Dudes popped the lock on their van took all there equipment. One of the crew had his cell phone with him so they tracked another crew member's cell phone to some dumpster and found some of their stuff. Folks had been calling the sketchy neighborhood app racist but it was right about that hood.

The problem that makes situations like this not get heard fairly is the nikkers who show up stealing, looting and doing ignorant shyt. By breaking in stores you have now turned a death ear to those outside of the community who would have probably listened. Sad!!!
Why do back folks always respond with "I also want us to be this outraged over black on black crime"? Maybe yall need to ask yourselves why you aren't outraged, because the truth of the matter is there are black folks out in the community everyday fighting against black on black crime. We always over look that fact to over look the wrong white America does. If black groups didn't fight against black on black crime it would be worst off then what it really is. Folks ask yourselves what aren't you doing to fight black on black crime is more of the question. My church just had a gun buy back, guess what yall weren't there. We also had a counselors talking to kids, a education HBCU seminar, a education GED program. Guess what most of the uppity blacks don't attend, but they are quick to judge though.........
What do you think those folks over in Egypt were doing?

We aren't in Egypt are we? Therefore we must abide by rules of the USA to get our views heard. The Watts riots changed nothing, but it did destroy a community that has yet to rebuild itself, and that was over 50 years ago.........
Technically, they went downtown and caused havoc. They overthrew the govt in charge too.

Technically, those people in Ferguson destroyed multibillion-dollar businesses that are insured and can be fixed. Can't say that about the dead kid.

Keep in mind a bunch of armed white guys confronted the feds and sheriff deputies with weapons drawn and feds and deputies ran away. Now they're gathering at border to shoot brown kids but no law enforcement folks will lay a hand on them.
we want to riot, yell, throw things, and attack the police...but we do it in an irrational and unorganized manner.
We always react with our emotions and that doesn't help anything. we want to riot, yell, throw things, and attack the police...but we do it in an irrational and unorganized manner.
Those poor Asian business owners suffered the worse. Mofos are just looking for an excuse to wreck havoc.
