There are 2 big ass states between Utah and the "coast" LOL. Over 700 miles between Salt Lake City and the west coast. It's in the west, but it ain't close to being on the coast.

True, but we are talking about where the talent on that team comes from.

:snicker:
Dude you hanging on to anything to keep up this debate. Just accept that your mighty SEC ain't all you thought it was this season. It may have the best team in the country, but it ain't the best conference this year. Got WORKED by the Mountain West Conf. in the Sugar Bowl. Penn State was more competitive with USC. The Tide just rolled up like a rolley polley.

Come on Rob, you know better than that. My reason for giving props to the SEC is that the best and most talented players seem to come from the Southeast. Look at football and basketball. The SEC and ACC. Most of those players are bruthas. My giving props to the SEC has nothing to do with SEC fans.

The MWC has nothing on the SEC or Big 12 or PAC 10. Utah just played the better ball, but I truly doubt that they'd beat a Georgia or LSU offense.
That Bama QB couldn't complete a simple pass to save his life. Football is about matchups, and Utah just happened to matchup well with Bama and it's weak QB.

Oh, if the SEC conference is not the best conference, which is? I gotta see this.:emlaugh:

I don't know what they'd do against Georgia or LSU. Don't matter. I know they took the 2nd best SEC team to the woodshed. They are better than Bama. That team looked solid all around.

See, there you go talking that dumb shit again...

NEWSFLASH!!!

This year the MWC and Pac-10 met 8 times. The MWC won 6 of them.

Face it...you don't know shit about those schools on the West. And it is OK to simply say so instead of making up shit just to save face.

Uhhh....well JayRob....if you really must know...

The SEC is winless this year against the MWC.

Utah beat Alabama
Wyoming beat Tennessee

So if head to head is worth anything...then yes. The MWC is better than the SEC.

Sorry I had to break it down to you like this dawg. :lecture:

Robber you docknow a projected #2 pick and another starting OL guy was not in the game right. Two freshmen OL guys gave up 8 sacks. Ball game.

31-17 is not worked. AL was a sack away from getting the lead. Hats off to UTAH.

Dude Tennessee sucked arse this year and Alabama was without it's best player and another starter on the OL. Utah took advantage of that but now you sucking the Mountain West nuts. They beat the sorry pac 10 6 times so that's whay USC aint ranked higher.

Face it the SEC has won 5 bowl game and the Pac 10 has won 5. The SEC is playing for a title and the Pac 10 is not.

Deal with it. USC is the pac 10 and the rest of the teams are shyt. No titles, no conference titles, no respect

Sorry I had to break it down to you like that.

Dude Tennessee sucked arse this year
Dude, Wyoming sucked even worse ass this year - in a conference that you and others want to say is inferior to the SEC - and beat Tennessee in Knoxville. Again, this simply proves that you don't know shit about the those school out West.

Who else wants to give ole SOGgy a try.

And with all of that said...the SEC is still 0-2 against the MWC. You are making my point for me. All you are proving is that the people who come up with these formulas don't know what they are doing.

Thanks for supporting my point.

Dude, the numbers prove that you are delusional and just typing just to type. A weak Big 10 and ACC are rated higher than the MWC. I bet you couldn't name five teams in that conference without looking it up. LOL!!!

Try again.....

So, the experts and computers are wrong and you're right??!! Now I KNOW you're deliriously delusional.

Dayum straight they are wrong. That is why they play the game. Utah is a better team than Bama...period.

Deal with it. I know it hurts. It's just the truth. There is nothing that you nor I can do about it.

As you can see by the above stats, even in a "down" year they're still number one.

I think the whole idea on wins and losses in bowl games are blown out of proportion. Play a tough OOC schedule in the regular season instead of the SunBelt, Southland and etc. SEC rarely does it and the fans are just stuck in their own clueless world.

Sow why is the SEC 6-2 in bowls, with middle of the pack teams like Ole Miss beating Texas Tech and eighth seeded Kentucky beating the Conference USA champ?

The SEC has won more bowl games than any conference over the past four years. How many times must a I beat a dead drum. Guys give the conference credit whether you like the fans or not. The stats and national championships don't lie.

Dude, you're the one harping on Alabama. I'm talking about the conference, you're talking about Utah, then switching back to the MWC, then switching back to Utah, then saying the experts and computers are wrong, even when they agree with you. Are you okay?:noidea:

The computer formula and the experts. I guess you'd say they were wrong by rating the MWC higher than the PAC 10? Didn't you just say that? You're contradicting your own statement.

My opinion is based on head to head wins and losses. Based on the facts as they have occurred.

In all seriousness, my argument is and has always been, that it is easy to dismiss something that you know nothing or little about. The folks on here (you included) have been saying that conferences like the Pac-10 and MWC are weak. All I am saying is that if you don't know anything about them how can you make that claim?

Many of you are taking the pageantry/popularity of SEC football (which is indeed unique) and confusing it with this so call high level of competition that many of you think is in no other conference. All I am saying is that facts (the final score) prove otherwise.

Thats just it. They go hand in hand. Regardless if it Utah vs Bama or the MWC vs the SEC. Utah and the MWC still come out on top.
