The Pac 10 is the best conference in the nation!

USC is good but do ya'll honestly think they would go undefeated in the SEC?
Come on.

PAC 10 the best conference?
Just what do USC/PAC 10 do that the top teams in the SEC don't do or see each week.

Pass?..............:lmao:
Run?...............:lmao:
Stiff Defense.............:lmao:
WHAT?!?

The Pac 10 got USC and WHO? as for being SEC Caliber.
Do ya'll honestly see UCLA, Oregon, Washington State, CAL, etc., having a dominant team in the SEC playing an SEC schedule?

Oh I agree they could hang, but I'm basically refuting the topic of this thread about the PAC 10 being the best overall conference. I think they'd lose to Florida,,,,,,,,Oh wow, I forgot about Georgia!!

I don't think the Pac-10 is better than the SEC. That is just crazy.

As for Georgia, they have been tabbed as a national champion in waiting since Richt arrived from FSU several years ago.

However, they have not lived up to those lofty expectations and have vastly underachieved in a couple of seasons while LSU, Florida and Auburn have took hold of that conference. Until UGA wins or plays in a BCS title game, I will not believe the hype.

USC in the SEC would be similar to USC in the Pac-10. They'd run through the conference like Florida did back in the day until the rest of the league catches up. They wouldn't win every game, but they'd win several SEC titles before a Nick Saban stops the streak. I mention Nick Saban because i think he's the one coach that can match Pete Carroll. Carroll would coach circles around Richt, Meyer, Fulmer, Tuberville and co.

Honestly, there isn't a far comparison because USC has the entire state of Cali on lock. And then they cherry pick top talent from other areas. LSU is the only school with a similar set-up, except La can't match Cali player for player.

This is not even a debate.

Pac-10?...

This is a typical statement for a youngster and for anyone else who really know nothing about the Pac-10. You folks are from the sticks (the country) and only know the SEC and nothing else.

It's OK though. Its just how some of you were raised. Y'all just don't know any better.

Stop fooling yourself. When was the last time anyone aside from USC won a title from that conference?

The Washington Huskies were the last Pac-10 team to win the national championship when they shared it with Miami in 1991.

Actually the Pac-10 is a better conference than the SEC. The teams out west have won more than 340 national titles. The Big Ten is second with more than 200. The Big Ten has won more football titles than the SEC to the tune of 20 to 24.

Uh.... you do know that half the schools in the SEC now werent even in the conference at that time right? You can say they may have been better back then, but the Big 10 having more titles than the SEC SURELY doesnt mean they arent a better conference either...and I think the the raping of their conference champ the last 2 years has shown that. As a matter of fact THE OSU UNIVERSITY is like 0-10 against the SEC in bowl games. Washington? WASHINGON?? 91? Man come on... and many of those pac 10 titles come from like the 50s - 70s. As of right now I think we all know who the best college football conference is. Take USC out of the pac 10 and put the top 3 SEC teams against their top 3 not even close.

You can take out LSU and still have Florida, Auburn, Alabama & Georgia. Take out USC and you have Oregon, UCLA & Arizona State. C'mon man

1. Well, I did some more research and found out that the Big Ten actually has 28 football national championships and the SEC has 24. Now, those numbers are unofficial, considering teams who are currently in the conferences won titles in a another conference or as an independent.

2. If we are talking just football, then the SEC is the best football conference. (On a side note, the PAC-10 is 10-6 the last 10 years against the SEC in football). However, the PAC-10 and the Big Ten have more titles than the SEC as a whole. The SEC has 153 titles to the PAC-10s 372. That is 219 more.

common now... they have sports on those parts that the South (SEC) doesnt have.... like men's volleyball, lacross, etc.

Well, too bad. If you take away all the volleyball, gymnastics, and water sports titles, that still leaves 255 national titles. Still 102 more than the SEC. Oh, and the Pac-10 has never won a lacrosse national title.

And again, both the Pac 10 and the Big 10 had those titles before half of the teams were even IN the SEC. And lets just be real, half of those wins are USC vs the SEC. 3 of which were championship years for them when they played an Auburn team that wasnt even ranked at the end of the season and Arkansas. They're smart ill give them that because they pick and choose who they want to play, like a dilapidated Virginia team.

How many titles in the last 10 years? Thank you, one. You got 1 or 2 good teams....yes USC is a great team....there are no other GREAT Pac-10 teams. The SEC has had Florida, Tennessee, and LSU(twice) win BCS titles since it started in 1999. The PAC has one. Obviously you're biased which is worse growing up in the sticks.....and if you're so good Mr. West coast nut hugger, why'd you bring your self to the sticks to go to school? Exactly, because you couldn't cut it on the West coast. :lmao:

I agree that the SEC is a better football conference than the Pac-10. However, when USC played Auburn on the road in 2003 the Tigers were ranked No. 6 in the country. Arkansas was a solid team, not a championship contender, but a solid team.

I give that program credit from having the guts to play a road game in the SEC against an Auburn and Arkansas or the ACC against a Virginia or a Va. Tech to open up the season. Not many powerhouses would not play a BCS school that early in the season. Heck, USC is playing Ohio State in two weeks.

Ohio State......:smh: The whipping board of the SEC? They'll get smashed.

Please put who they played against in bowl games because it serves me correct they played some week teams except USC!!
Arizona beat BYU
Cal beat Miami
USC beat Penn State
Oregon beat Oklahoma State
Oregon State beat Pitt

Looks like some solid wins to me. I only picked USC and Cal to win.
