Seriously, I wonder what is going on with that situation at LSU. That kid should have never signed with them. DNice and I have said that from the beginning. Now if I was him seeing that he has 4 years left of eligibility, I would transfer to another 1A school. He should have went to Nebraska and built up their program with Callahan. He would have started right away. Hell even Oklahoma's situation was better than sitting at LSU. If he goes to a SWAC school, they will have to promise him the starting job or he aint coming. Why would he sit the bench at our schools when he can do that at LSU and just wait his turn which would be his Jr season. Something else is going on over there. I bet he wished he had gone to Texas now. He would be battling for the starting job now that Vince is gone and even if Vince he stayed he would have been a resdhirt soph when got the chance. Some kids and their folks just don't think. His ego got in the way, because he just knew he could beat out Russell and Flynn, but found out it wouldn't be that easy.

Well, I'll take that as a "no". Since your "inside track" is still stuck on Haren, you may need to see if JR can get you in the inner circle with the barbershop buddies.

Man.......SU went 4-5 last year...............post excuses here X__________.

Uh Frat our Qb will probably be Pre-Season All -SWAC along with Aries Nelson of Valley. He got nothing but accolades from all the media. It wasn't his fault we were 4-5, that's for sure. Hell if it wasn't for him it would have been worse. He the best pure passer in the conference.

So we can talk about other folks Qb's. Like Bluedog has said on this thread. SU already has the Qb that Perriloux couldn't beat in HS on our roster. Qbs aint never an issue at SU since Pete has been there. You should know that by now. Seeing that Richard and Ricks both were SWAC POTY back to back.

JR, I know how the local Jacksonians can be (especially concerning new faces) in Jacktown. Jax really wants to know the situation concerning our QB, but his inside track has given him some bad info. Can you help him?

Just asking. Do you realize that every starting Qb at SU since Pete has been there has won a SWAC title as a starter at least once in their career except T Ricks who has a ring but lost the SCG to Bama State. Do you realize we have to go back damn near to when you and I were in school when JSU was dominant every year. Even when Big Daddy was head coach, he was having trouble beating ole SU. Do 93,96,97,98 ring a bell? You fired the only man since Gorden to have any success against us. Hughes went 3-2(both in 99) against us. Pete is 9-5 against JSU since arriving on the Bluff. This year will make 10.

True, of course due to Katrina we only played 9 games. Also we didn't lose to PV or UAPB. Even our bad year can't top what Bell accomplished at JSU. Frat I know it hurts. But reality is that JSU has not won the SWAC since 96. So your ridicule of SU being 4-5 after going to the SCG 2 years in a row is moot. All that can't be blamed on Bell.

Post excuses of why JSU has won the SWAC since 96 over>>>>>>>>>here__________________________

Didn't know our AD was a DUMBARSE at the time we wanted HUGHES replaced.

But Frat this goes back further than Bell. JSU has been dormat for a championship since 96. 99 was the last time you even came close. As far as SU is concerned we don't stay down long. We also lost some games that we shouldn't have either. No one is bragging on a win over Bell, that was expected. Honestly JSU is the least of our worries when it comes to opponents. We are closer to a championship than JSU is, that's for sure. We had a young squad last year. So you'll see how much things will be better this year. Just hope Comegy can finally get JSU a win over Bama State for a change. Because he shole aint going to beat SU.

Sorry bout that. You sneaked that one back in on me. LOL. Now you do know I rather see JSU back to its old self. I rather play yall in B-ham than some other schools. But hey that's the Jackson, MS homer in me though. I also get more satisfaction with a win over JSU than a win or Gram. My BC is in October. So tell Comegy to get his arse in gear over there.


Now back to Perriloux. That kid needs to stay where he is or transfer to a 1A program where he can play in 07 as a starter. Because I don't see Russell being so good this year that he will leave LSU after his Jr year for the NFL and even if he does. Then Flynn will be around for a Sr year.

Sorry that you feel that way:( . I think he should transfer to Gram or another Swac school.
 
I know one of his HS teachers at E St. John and she and I talked...all I can say is I hope he has a good head on his shoulders...if you know what I mean. Other than that...he needs to either stay at LSU or xfer to another D1 school.
 
And STAG what is your excuse of letting PV drop 27 on yall? Don't say Bell, or don't say Steve Haren. BTW you can take 4 and multiply that by 5 and SU will still have more numbers then yall's ATTENDANCE AVERAGE.
