WALMART vs TARGET

There is also talk about relocating the ZOO in that same area!!!

The infrastructure is not in place to handle the traffic out there now. It would be a bad move to put the zoo out there.

It's being considered. There was also talk about changing Summit Hospital to Earl K. Long.

Target is the bomb! i used to be a Wal Mart fan, until I moved off CObb Parkway and the only things that shop there are Jesus and Rodriguez and nem............ :xeye:

Nene, I swear that Wal Mart is alwasy packed with Eduardo, Hector, and Eliana! If it's not, they'll be in there by the time you get ready to check out.

I've gone into that Wal Mart off Cobb Parkway (I live less that a mile from it) at 3 in the morning and nobody would be in there. By the time I got ready to check out, it would be packed in there! And we're not even going to talk about the Vegas Nights crowd!!
For those of you that don't know, Vegas Nights is a club in Marietta, GA that is getting very popular around the ATL. People will park their cars in the first set of parking spaces in Wal Mart (these spaces are a very long walk to Wal Mart so nobody really parks there anyway with the exception of some 18 wheelers) and cross Cobb Parkway to go to Vegas Nights. Now sometimes they'll hit Wal Mart up for breath fresheners (gum, tic tacs, mentos, little listerine bottles) before they go in.
Now when Vegas Nights closes, some of them go back to Wal Mart!! For what, I have no idea. Maybe condoms.

Don't even think about going into that Wal-Mart between 3 p.m. and 12 a.m. You'll be in there all day trying to check out.

Now, I go to the Target that's about half a mile from me in the other direction. A lot less crowded and they seem to have stuff that Wal Mart doesn't have when I need it.

Nene, I know a guy that works at that Wal Mart and he said that they are about to start converting it into a SUPER WAL MART NEXT MONTH!! You know what that means. Jesus, Hector, and nem will be in there 24/7 now!

Target will never be able to compare to WALLY'S WORLD.... Wal Mart jumpin like the club 24 hours a day...

I swear no disrespect, but Walmart like the club. Naw man say it ain't so. It can't be like that. Its justa sto'. I's a takes yo woard fo' it.

I like Target because it's cleaner and less hectic.

How do women walk around that mf (Walmart) all day. That's a concept thatI don't grasp. This chick told me that she hadn't did nothing all day so she will go to Walmart and walk around just to get out. I know IT A'INT NOTHIN' TO DO in these parts, but it ain't that serious. Don't let me start on the ones that spend all day in that joint. :smh:

No actually the Super Wal-Mart is going to be farther down Cobb Parkway, in the Marietta Trade Center, across from Sonic and Krystal's & stuff. But what's so ironic about that to me is, that's where the original Wal-mart was. They built the new (at the time) Wal-mart, the one you are talking about and closed the original. Therefore the shopping center died, Cub Foods eventually closed, and shoot Blockbuster has been the only thing to really hold on there. (It's still there) And now some developer has bought the property and is moving the SUPER Wal-mart back. Crazy I tell ya, but very ironic. Just a little history for ya.

Bengal,
Wasn't there a Sam's Club at the Trade Ctr too? and if you didn't know that Wal-Mart was where it was now, you'd pass right by that sucka. It sits so far off Cobb Pkwy and the sign is overgrown by weeds. :dizzy:

btw ms sonic and Antroy, I guess the times that I've been out there, I was tuning them out, cause I havent noticed an overabundance of "Jesus and Rodriguez and nem"

as for WalMart vs Target, WalMart's prices are lower

Honestly, walking around Super Wal-Mart or Target is always a good outing. Especially if you like to people watch like me. :spin:

As far as which one is best, I love the higher quality products in Target (I actually can go in there and buy clothes), and all their bright home decor. Now, when it comes to groceries and knick knacks, I'll stick with Wally World.

I have walked into Wal Mart, and there have been so many people in there, that I have turned around and left right back out.

Target is cleaner, less crowded, they have the same products, their store brand is (IN MY OPINION), better than Sam's Choice, and their prices are comparable. I don't tend to buy perishable items from either store. Target even sells clothes I'd actually wear. I often buy their clothes for my children.

The ONLY advantage that Super Wal Mart has over Super Target is that their Smart Styles salon sells KeraCare products, and Super Target doesn't have a salon. That's IT.

Target won't be around too much longer...so, you Target lovers better get your shop on now. Wal-Mart's running everyone out of business. Fine w/me, though...I love Wal-mart.

ok??? :D

One can't afford to shop at Target 4 to 5 times a week. They are overpriced, if you ask me.

Yeah Targe' is over priced. Im with Wally World. But best believe if Targe' goes out of biz im gonna be in there cleaning up! They do have some good stuff!

I live only about a mile from that Wal-Mart. There is always a line regardless of what time you go and they tend to always be out of most items.

They are building a Super Wal-Mart up to road close to the Big Chicken. It is going to be behind the shopping center that has Blockbuster, Radio Shack, Dollar General, and Subway.

I only go to Target for certain items. They are overpriced on a lot of stuff, but you can get CDs and DVDs pretty cheap over there.

JagBR, did you go to the Grand Opening of your new Super Target?

I had to take my mom to church in Amite and didn't reach the Millerville exit until around 8:30. But I did go into Target and purchase a few things. I'm happy it's nearby.
