USM unveils new uniforms for 2015

The biggest problem with the Russel Uni's is the fit.. Maybe the big boys get the heat guns or something to make their unis fit tight or they order a size smaller but the Russell uni's seem to fit like a broke highschool uni...Vs a big time program uni...

Russell sucks man...it goes beyond the uniforms on the field.

Heck, FAMU athletics had to call Russell out on twitter last season which forced Russell to apologize after a bunch of FAMU fans jumped on them. They only care about the schools that have individual contracts with them.

Team apparel is trash...the best FAMU gear I have is made by Nike and Adidas. Russell is inconsistent.
There's only so much you can do with FAMU's shade of green and urnge man. LOL

Same with the fit... it is up to the person making the order. I don't see much different in the way SU's jerseys fit compared to LSU's, though.

LOL the night we wore these pants for the first time, was the moment I was done with Russell..and ever since we switched to Russell, our shade of green just keeps getting lighter...

LOL

But you have to understand... your school chose/approved those pants.

Yeah...because we're stuck with choosing what Russell has to offer...after we got these, they "fixed" that looks an provided Tuskegee and Southern Miss with their own versions of it.(Notice Tuskegee and USM have the same template lol)

Ugly uniforms are the head coach and AD fault thats it...Russell fit does leave alot to be desire but as far as design that on the HC. The problem I have seen is that our HBCUs want to change designs every 2 or 3 years like we are Oregon and look bad doing it..

Those aren't the same pants yall wore, and like I said... schools can choose whichever pants they want.

That's why I mentioned Russell going back and fixing that look...we debuted those pants in 2009 against WSSU on ESPNU.

I knew a few football players back when I was in school, and they hated those uniforms as well lol

But again, it's not just the uniforms I dislike, it's everything that Russell fails to do properly...now maybe they'll improve, but that remains to be seen.

FAMU shouldn't have never changed the helmet logo or the uniforms from the way they were in 1998. That helmet was Fresh

To be honest, I really didn't care about the "look" of the unis that Russell Athletics produced. Outside of the fact that some of the MEAC/SWAC teams wearing Russell jerseys appeared to be somewhat loose in fit, it didn't really phase me. However, after reading that article about how Alcorn didn't have enough unis for their team until just days before the start of their season opener, I am curious to know what the terms of the deal that Russell has with the MEAC and SWAC.

One other thing I've noticed with Russell unis is that some of the numbers on the jerseys are printed - not stitched - as is the case with many unis made by other brands.

stitched don't last as long.... they start to wrinkle up with the more washes they get. We had a set of stitched uniforms and only wore them one year.

Whats the story with PV Camo Uniforms?

I believe it was something the players wanted and Coach Northern made it happen. I remember we debuted them in the 2012 State Fair Classic.

I'm sure we'll break them out again for the Labor Day Classic.

We currently have 6 different uniform sets and that not factoring in combos...

They wear that design because they want to.

How many schools have worn this same Nike design? A lot.

A lot of their featured teams have the same structural design with just a piping or color block change.

Nike understands that less is more.

Russell unis with all those patches and designs look like someone glued paper on the jerseys. The fit is horrible too, always look baggy

My only issue with Russel Athletic is the bagginess of the jerseys. I prefer RA to Nike because of apparel prices, but Nike does look very nice and has nice quality.

As far as designs go, I like the current home/away jerseys

I can do without these shoulder patches on these

But these designs just look bush league.
