JSU's precision at the beginning was outstanding (Tiger Run) but got weak towards the end. All-in-all a good showing though.
Where is this 300 piece of a band,,, because I honestly did not see it,, and TNSU band look alitte bit more entertaining on the field,,

Jsu did NOT blow anyone out.....Playing loud is not a musical skill, NOR does it constitute a win...
JSU band got BOOED HEAVILY by Tenn State's crowd before their band even hit the field....you could hear the uproar of Booing on Fox Sport South......LOL...there was no drum major dance entrance, the band's dance routine was WACK and CORNY..(a James Brown dance routine).....REALLY???......the overall show did not flow well @ all.....
I agree with xoo1 in the previous post, Tenn St had the better entertaining halftime show...it just simply flowed better and the dance routine received a better crowd response than jsu's

You know, I was saying the same thing....JSU band was charted for 192 (6 lines of 32's) on the field....where were the other 158 band members to make you guys 350? Cause I know there wasn't 158 band alternates sitting the stands........
Tenn St was 192 as well on the field....

Now I'm going to answer your next question. Why were they left. It's called auditions. The Boom holds auditions every week. Unlike your band who take horn holders. Now if they step up their game next week they will travel. We have 20 more new tubas coming next month and 10 more snares. We received four new tunas Thursday along with 5 New BTones and 2 Mellows. The rest being Trmbones and BTones and Mellows will come after the season ends. So we don't have Finacial or instrument issues like that other band. So if you haven't practiced you don't travel.
And SINCE WE DOING FACT CHECKING,, AND WE ALL KNOW JSU is ALWAYS in SU BUSINESS,,
FACT 1.... SU, board of supervisors met and restored all the scholarship money,, PLEASE GO TO SU BAND FACEBOOK PAGE FOR MORE DETAILS
FACT 2 almost 90% of the new instruments was brought even before band camp even happen at SU, AND it was already determine that they were going to be unveiled at the midnight botb

I watched the 5th on periscope and thought the exact opposite of this initial post. Tn State easily handled JSU and JSU's songs selection in the 5th was just not good. I know its their first game of the year but seems as if JSU took a step backwards this year. Maybe things will change this week with their biggest rivals.

The word HATERS should be banned from African American vocabulary..... not agreeing with you isn't hating.... its simply a difference of opinion. If I would have come in here saying JSU sounds like ish.... they need to keep that is in Jackson... etc... that would be hating.... I'm not saying anything remotely close to that.

Man...I was at the game!!!!! JSU embarrassed Tnsu in the 5th. Tnsu was not even on the same level. JSU was balanced.... & I heart the trumpets clearly!!! JSU played very technical, had runs, key changing & everything. Y'all need to quit hating on the Boom, Tnsu played them boring old are songs....& they crowd was not feeling that shat. If you was there.... U know this! & as far as the field show, JSU had some mistakes..but they had a damn good drill. Smh. Y'all haters are reeeealllllly reaching!!!

There are no rules on what can be played in tha 5th....you should know that....but your focus is all wrong....WHO IN THA HECK REMEMBERS A 5th QUARTER? Let me answer that for you...NO ONE,.only die hard bandheads, and that crowd that is left over to witness a 5th is about 300 to 400 tops, cause the majority of the 45,000 to 50,000 plus crowd LEAVES when the game is over....I say that to say this.....The 45,000 plus in attendance comes to the game to witness HALFTIME, and THAT IS WHAT THEY REMEMBER and not a 5th....For the record, you and I, and a couple of other posters on here have stated that Tenn State had the more entertaining halftime show...and thats what everyone remembered.....J State show wasn't TERRIBLE for halftime, but their show lacked energy and did not carry over well with their own crowd.....it all started when they got BOOED before they even took the field...LOL

Maybe if J - State would take some of that energy from focusing so HEAVILY on a 5th quarter, and apply it to putting on a decent (ENTERTAINIING) halftime show...
Dude.. Are you retarded & deaf! I was at the game JSU was waaaaaay more technical, musical & balanced. I could hear the trumpets, they played the shit outta all those runs & they had numerous key changes in songs..they where not just loud, Tnsu played them tired ass old songs.... Mane please....all I can say is tnsu sounded good....but nowhere near the technical level on songs of JSU last night.
