Tenn St takes the WIN for halftime.......

Maybe if J - State would take some of that energy from focusing so HEAVILY on a 5th quarter, and apply it to putting on a decent (ENTERTAINIING) halftime show...

dude you are reaching, Tnsu did not do shat. They were not even together on the field. Simple drilling. JSU had some misstakes towards the end of show....but they drilled y'all arse, & looked better. As far as the dance routine, I did not like either! & I was there, dude it was way more than 400 people left to see the 5th. Smh. Wit ya Reaching arse...lol

I watched the 5th on periscope and thought the exact opposite of this initial post. Tn State easily handled JSU and JSU's songs selection in the 5th was just not good. I know its their first game of the year but seems as if JSU took a step backwards this year. Maybe things will change this week with their biggest rivals.

Dahall.....you reaching also, & deaf. I was there. I did not hear one selection Tnsu played that was better or matched the Boom. The Boom had balance, they had runs for days, key changes for days, very techicial arranged music & they where powerful, all tnsu played...old arse shat they been playing...with hardly any technical parts! The Boom killed them!

You can't get MAD @ Dahill cause he favored Tenn State...yet alone, you can't get MAD @ xoo1 who favored Tenn St as having the more entertaining show....(seems like the only one REACHING is you..I mean damn, talk about spaceships and UFO's)..LOL

JSU band got BOOED HEAVILY by Tenn State's crowd before their band even hit the field....you could hear the uproar of Booing on Fox Sport South......LOL...there was no drum major dance entrance, the band's dance routine was WACK and CORNY..(a James Brown dance routine).....REALLY???......the overall show did not flow well @ all.....



I agree with xoo1 in the previous post, Tenn St had the better entertaining halftime show...it just simply flowed better and the dance routine received a better crowd response than jsu's

They don't know shat about bands anyways...lol! If I'm reaching soooo much, then name one song in the 5th Tnsu outplayed, was technically better than the Boom! & at halftime the Boom showed u a real drill! I just call it like I see it....I was there! Y'all hating...simple as that.

Let me ask you a question......Are you affiliated with Jackson State's band? If so, I see why you favor them..if not, STFU........The funny thing is.....the only people that are claiming jsu won are jsu folks.......on the hand, people who are non bias and are from different HBCU's give the win to Tenn St...halftime wise..go figure........

Like I said earlier, I don't know what happened in the 5th, I'll wait for clips....

Now I did notice at the Tenn State game against Bama State in Nashville, that TSU aint that nice "classy" band they had been known to be. I was definitely surprised by the memes they put on the videoboard during their halftime show (one was a picture of the Bama State drum major in the tights with "Straight OUTTA Spandex" around it.... another was a picture of Drake and Meek Mill... and Meek Mill had on a Bama State hat. I always had known Tenn State as this "friendly" band lol. But I like the ratchet TSU!

Lol! They got us with that video board last night but I had to laugh!
 
I think TNSU won the 5th. JSU's song selection was kind of off to me, and they had quite a few tempo issues in the zero and 5th quarter. I did see JSU trying to be more musical and technical I guess in preparation for next week's game. Halftime easily goes to TNSU for me. The JSU show just seemed kind of haphazardly thrown together.

I respect your opinion and I CAN say those tempo problems were caused with the setup of the band. Tenn State had those same problems last year when they were larger and spread out. Percussion always needs to be up top no matter what! The boom was in 3 different sections and even though the drum majors were in the stands most members still follow the director on the ladder! I've always hated that setup! As far as selections go they played a few old boom staples that many others might not recognize being younger such as Juoiter and Do you remember me! Alumni knew what they were though! Those technical songs were written by Dowell Taylor back in the 80s!
