One thing I have learned in DC is that you should give everyone the side-eye until they prove otherwise. Not saying people are inherently bad but everyone (including you and I) have an agenda. I listened to Tariq's interview and I have listened to some of his videos. I appreciate the work he has done. I agree with a good bit of what he said and some stuff I disagreed with. I personally don't like the general way he throws around the word c**n and feels he is not open to opposite viewpoints but that doesn't mean I don't support the stuff he does.

As I stated earlier, he is not first person to say the things he is saying. I see a bunch of young afrconcentric, black power brothers.

and yes, I do have an agenda for hiring young black people. My personal belief is that the root of all our problems is economic so I thats where I focus on.

With Boyce, I have no problem with him earning money. I am going to his wealth seminars but won't knock anyone who does. I paid $200 to meet and speak with Eric Thomas bka E.T. the Hip Hop Preacher.

But I"m speaking more so on a general intellectual term of talking to the youth about black empowerment, asking them if they know a Marcus Garvey, do they know that science and math were created by Africans, if they heard of the Black Wall Street community or know about FT Negro, asking them Rosewood and etc. just coaching them to be tough and show up at practice or teaching them 4 plus 5 and learning about Europe aint gettin it, and I would as a teacher teach out of my own curriculum if I could, most of that crap is what the CAC want to spew out in our youth today.

Teaching them how to establish credit etc..
Teaching them about white supremacy in which they live in

But along with teaching our youth and fellow blacks about our Black US history, we need to teach our kids how to play the game that white America is. And I'm not talking about selling out or acting different, we need to teach them how to get that inside information that, for crab syndrome reasons, other blacks don't give.

I went to an all black school coming up, but went a couple of my college years to a majority white school to learn their way of pimping the system. I always point out that we know we live in White America so we got to use their own game against them.

To make things happen these days you got to play their game to achieve what you want. It goes along with the voting situation. When I was at this majority white college, the African American Student Council was started and that same year during homecoming we flooded the homecoming court with 6 of the 9 young ladies that were voted as maids were Black. Unheard of to have even 2 blacks at this school. Those folks changed rules after that. If they get beat at their our game it's the most satisfying and funniest thing in the world.

And that's where I'm lost with Tariq. I saw the comparison to Jimmy Swaggart but Jimmy and his crew tell his folks who to support. Our problem is if there's nothing in it for us why are we voting. It's the game, if we play the game we can beat them at their own game. But we, as blacks, got to be in the game to win it. Not saying don't be pro black but we got to use White America for what we can. That's why I personally look at the news and read the newspaper, because they will put some things out there that we should be jumping on top of for our own advantage. But if you don't watch it or read it, how can we know about it?

I bumped this back up because I have been watching their videos a lot within the last couple of weeks. These brothers and sisters in this recent conscious movement sure do beef a lot which is the obvious tactic of white supremacy. I wish they would just stop, let their issues with each other go, and do what they do to inform and inspire the masses already....

I wasn't referencing him specifically, but a lot of these so-called intellectuals, including Tariq and their followers, have displayed poor conduct towards those who don't agree with everything they say or offer any challenge to the statements they've made. It's like you're beneath them, are a c**n, epitomize black self-hatred or are not authentically black because you don't see the world the way they do in every circumstance. It comes off disrespectfully pretentious.

But many of them are coons who have internal self hatred. Don't shoot the messenger for pointing that out.

Some are about personal gain, I filtered out the ones who speak about empowerment but also have put on the boots and have done things in the community other than take IG photos and be on the scene.

I always go back to Tariq and folks say "well he makes money off of what he does" which I couldn't care less, but this dude has giving money out and wrote checks for ppl that has been in jams. Bailed ppl out etc.

There are others like him but those who just talk about it, or 9/10 the ones who hate on others.
