I have become somewhat suspect of all public intellectuals in my 30's. Like Umar, I agree with Tareeq on about 75% of stuff. He does seem to be less ego driven than Umar and he not going on pointless rants about makeup, clothes and hair.

But Envy has to ask these questions. If you don't understand something then you ask questions and obtain information. Envy is doing that as it relates to voting and whatever else throughout the interview.

Man Tariq Nasheed been on national platforms a lot in the past. LOL He has been all over cable news and late night talk shows. I think he even had a Satellite radio show.

Very True, but Envy is in radio and it operates as a plantation, hell they play the same 10 songs over and over, he knows how white suprimacy works...He's been called out on the things he's done, see Dame Dash interview and Dr.Boyce, but the interview has to have some balance so I give him on pass for being the opposite of what Charm and Angie were.
Even with the Ken Champman comment, he kinda tried to sly it off as Meh, like it wasn't a big deal and you heard Tariq say "Oh it was a big deal/move" stated what all Ken had done in the past as justify and off-set what he did with the cop situation. That's not acting like you don't understand something.
He knows, he's just tied into White Daddy and has to buck.

He mentioned the whole work situation, how blacks don't like to work, and Tariq again broke it down and told him to stop "projecting" that stuff out like that. It's these myths that coons keep on doing...hurting the black folks..

What national platform he's been on that was bigger than the BC and that he was speaking on injustice and calling out white folks for their shi.t?
I wanna go and listen to it...

What Satellite show did he have, was it on Sirus or Xradio?

I said I think he had one. This was back in his Art of Macking days. I may be wrong, but he had a regular broadcast of some type where he took callers and everything.

The more the better, but let me ask you this, if I think, as you say he's the only one that's doing this so call movement, (he's made it to the breakfast club) and will be on Hot 97 today, who else that you know, that you will be on those shows, better yet, who else do you know that I can go and hear that is dropping gems like him, and also have videos that are projecting black excellence.

Umar is a good dude that's dropping gems and Neely Fuller and Dr. Claude but who else is reaching the youth and older generation like Tariq that I can go and listen too?

Tell so I can support those brothas and sistas as well

I first heard of tariq from hidden colors. My mom is very afrocentric she even made sure my first and middle names were Kiswahili. She encouraged me to watch hidden colors a few years ago. It was very eye opening and somewhat ego shattering. It changed how I viewed the world. I am not just a descendant of slaves who built this country while facing injustices,I am a descendant of kings ,queens, sculptors, philosophers ,inventors etc. White ppl would fall apart if we went into what Jesus actually looked like. Lol
