Swac Championship Game

Orcaledatabase, the game will serve no purpose to you after this weekend. Are you still going to it though?

BnB:
I have been to every SWAC championship game. I intend to go regardless of what teams are in it. It will just be so much better with AAMU in it because we know how to make a game close and interesting. Jenny Sue usually gets blown out when the spotlight is on her. It would be a boring game if she is in it.

I DO NOT AGREE WITH THE STATEMENT THAT ONLY JSU AND SOUTHERN FANS TRAVEL B/C THAT IS NOT TRUE. I KNOW THAT UAPB FANS TRAVEL WITH THEM NO MATER HOW MANY GAMES THEY LOSE. THOSE FANS ARE LOYAL AND REAL. AND I AM ONE OF THOSE FANS B/C I AM AN ALUMNI OF UAPB AND I LOVE MY BLACK AND GOLD LIONS!!!!!!

Only a handful of you guys can to Houston this year. In fact some of us Tex Southern Alums think that TSU and UAPB should play a classic in Dallas.

You ain't got a damn thang to back up this. All 48,000 came to see the game. You can't disprove that no more than you can prove that 10 to 12K came to see some bands.

This game will be nothing more than a waste of time after we go to the 9 game conference schedule. We ain't making no money. 10 schools splitting a coupla thousand dollars ain't bout nothing.

Some did come to see the bands. That is the nature of HBCU football. If they took attendance figures after half-time, the figures for most games would changed significantly.

Mach....bottom line....the 48,000 came to see JSU - Southern. PERIOD.

p.s. there were 50,000 at the Battle of the Bands in Jackson. ;)

It was packed the first year because of the bands but also because SU vs JSU is always gonna pack a house.

I EXPECTED BETTER FROM YOU. :smh: IT IS SAD THAT YOU WOULD EVEN SAY THAT.

JOHN RAY, THE PROMOTER OF THE JACKSON B.O.T.B., TOLD A DIFFERENT FIGURE THAN WHAT THE PAPER PRINTED.

I don't know numbers the the promoter or the paper gave, but the stadium was almost as packed as a JSU football game without either band and few high school bands taking up seats in the stadium. It was almost full.

You can not be serious. The two lowest attended games I've seen the last 2 seasons were UAPB road games. There was no one at the game when they played GSU this year and were no UAPB fans in the stands in Jackson last year. I went to another game earlier this season and didn't see many fans.

Commons sense told you that 10-12K were there for the bands or did it tell you that some unknown number of fans came to see the bands??? Again, I never denied that some folk weren't there to see the game. You just picked a number out the air and now you calling it "common sense"???

IF YOU WANT TO BELIEVE THAT 48K CAME TO SEE JUST TO SEE su/jsu FOOTBALL GAME THEN YOU ARE SADDER THAN I THOUGHT. 7 OUT OF 10 SWAC BANDS IN ONE PLACE, BUT THEY ALL CAME TO SEE THE GAME... :smh: I THOUGHT AT LEAST YOU WOULD TELL THE TRUTH.
