Throw that in there as well....

7. Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South.

Returning to the treasure trove that are the black college marching bands, Jackson State University's band deserves to be given a Sudler Trophy. An integral part of the American heritage, the band has been involved with Motown's 30th anniversary television special, the NAAC Image Awards, EA Sports and is enshrined in the NCAA Hall of Champions.

Throw in its signature "Tiger Run-On" shuffle step, and you have a strong case for a Sudler Trophy-quality band.

From that same list:

3. Grambling State University Tiger Marching Band.
This was the band that, along with the football teams coached by the great Eddie Robinson, put GSU on the map. Coca Cola commercials, Super Bowl XXXII, and the inauguration of former Liberian president William Tolbert, and US presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama...give it to these guys already!

Grambling should be on that list! Conrad Hutchinson was no joke, he's a legend!

The NCAA Hall of Champions, that's a major accomplish for a college marching band, JSU is there, SU isn't!

o_Oo_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

But I like it though:D:p:D.... Continue!! LMBO!!

As Inaugurations go, a reporter asked Liddell about it.. and his comment was basically that you didn't have to be good to get invited.. then he said "look at some of the bands they invited..." LOL

Case closed, next topic. However, Bill Clinton came to Jackson, heard the BOOM and said to the crowd.. "I want that band at my inauguration".

Seriously....This is sad. Even for you. But then again, this doesn't surprise me, considering that B.S.A poll of yours.

You will lose 5000 fans if the BOOM does not go... LOL

Thanks!!! I forgot about the fans that walks in free with the boom. I need to redo my numbers. There's always at least 10,000 fans standing outside Mumford trying to get in. We probably could jack up the price to $30 per ticket since the demand is so high.

At $30 per ticket for approximately 5,500 fans equals about $165,000 dollars of additional revenue.
