bean,
Let somebody else lead or you'll continue to come across like you don't have a clue, when you continue to ask such dumb questions.

kool-aid,
If ASU already had a QB in place, then you might have a point. The coaches went out and came back with "two of the biggest name guys to come out of this area in a long time".
Tell me what's wrong with that?

What's wrong is that Cole loves the shortcut and its finally catching up with him. Instead of putting in the work to recruit and develop players out of highschool, he looks for transfers. Have u noticed that in all of Cole's years at TSU and ASU, most of his better players and all of his QBs were either recruited by the previous coach or D-1 transfers? I've said it before, you can't build a program if your coach can't recruit and develop highschoolers who's gonna stick around for 4-5 years. Apparently Cole doesn't understand this.

Do you see how we treated this kid? "Yeah...if you are interested, do the things that YOU need to do to get here, get in school (on your own), and then we MIGHT let you earn a spot on the team." We dont sell our soul for a player cause we understand that the PROGRAM is more important than any player.
GR this is the most profounded statement that you made. Why can the lesser schools come to see it our way? JSU doesnt need Strippers or test papers with the answers already written on them. All we say is, If you report to practice on time, we will give you a look to see what you can do. What is FAMU gonna do now that they cant wait on the latest 1-A washout to line up under center? What is Bama View gonna do without Peaches and Sinnamon directing their recruiting effort?

ummm kool-aid,
The vast majority of the players signed were high school guys. QBs, RBs too.
Like I said, the signings of Wms and Jackson were hyped because they were local guys who were blue chip recruits. But don't fool yourself into thinking that no high school kids were signed.

Cole himself said QB was very important in his offense. If that's the case, why didn't he sign and groom someone who could've stepped in once Kennedy left? Instead he had to hope wash-outs like Crenshaw and that white dude(can't remember his name) could come through. At JSU, there's always a good QB waiting in the wings with at least a couple fo years already on campus.

Precisely!

GR,
So far, I havent seen anything to suggest that he won't be able to. I have seen quotes where he says that he believes in a wide open attack. Look for that type offense.

So aint nothing changed?
Yall pulled old boy off a golf course
Minding his own damn business
And now he is going to take your
last place team and do what with them now?
Are they still going to perform well?
How bad are yall going to beat everyone this year?
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

The players I had in mind when I made that statement are still there!!!!!!!!

Question: Since when does Last Place talent + 2 D-1A washouts = loaded?

L.C. Cole can make you fools believe anything.

The RB was 9th string
and the QB couldnt beat out that sorry ass white boy in Arkansas that aint even the QB no more. And then he couldnt beat out Fortson....but they loaded.....yeah like a what?

So, since yall keep harping on where ASU finished last year, don't cry when I start harping on the fact that jsue didn't do crap last year and of course, wherever we finished last year, we kicked YOUR ass!!!!!!!

btw, stop diverting, this topic was supposed to be about that 4 time transfer from Pearl Vision,, errr Pearl College who is good enough to play 2 positions in your defense. Remember, you 'sposed to be scaring us, by talking bout him on this topic.
:scared::scared:

And to think, yall actually made that all-world dude get in school all on his own!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

still waiting on this significant statement bout how a guy who couldn't even cut the mustard at Pearle College will step in and play two positions on jsue's defense!

so smalltime!

If you didn't notice, Scott played a year at Pearl River JC, and then enrolled at SWLA. He saw he didn't fit in there and wanted to come to JSU. See the significance? Bell wasn't out in the D-1 trashcans looking for players to fill holes. A talented defender came to us. Will he help? I don't know, but you can never have enough big guys with speed on defense.

Am I supposed to be impressed or scared that he played at Pearle Community College????
Please tell me that aint the "significant statement" about this 4 time transfer, that he played at mighty Pearle Community College

You picked 2 sentences, added a few :lamo, and ran with them. Good tactic, but it doesn't hide the truth.

Newcomers, veterans to report

Among the newcomers is expected to be linebacker Tarus Morgan, a junior transferring from Mississippi State.
Morgan (6-foot, 245 pounds) had three solo tackles and assisted on two others in 10 games last season.
Morgan and junior-college transfer Don Expose can help shore up a linebacking corps which lost defensive captain Chris Cooper.

Now here's the statement that has me smh

"I've never seen (Morgan) play, but what we're told is he's a great kid, a great character kid. No problems at all," defensive coordinator Cliff Lewis said. "He can really run, and if you're recruited by (State defensive coordinator) Joe Lee Dunn, you have to be able to run. That's a plus. I'm really anxious to see what he can do. Now, how soon he comes in and adapts to a different defense will be the key.

Why would you be excited about someone who made 5 tackles in 10 games? You got some quarterbacks (like Kent) who make that many tackles in one game after throwing interceptions.

MB,
I see you tried to smack SU and then JSU with the Kent interception remark on the sly. SMH.

But in saying that. That transfer will probably look all world in one game we play this year. I wonder which one? ~snicker~

I should have put this on the Sports Board. This really is more truth than SMACK. I can't wait to see Cliff Lewis again...I'm gonna really lmao at him for signing a Miss State reject who only made 5 tackles in 10 games. What kinda dayum linebacker makes only 5 tackles in 10 games and who but a desperate non-recruiter like Pete would give him a scholarship.

Still smh at how desperate Pete is to accept those other folk's washouts. Victor Ike send help!:lmao:
