Further, I'm saying that McNeese has a better football program than USL does...and it's not even close...

They said they were in a much better position than us from 86 till 2007....we played....they were wrong...
That still hasn't stopped them from claiming that they're in a much better position than us now....Last year we beat the number two team in their conference, Middle Tennessee...who finished ABOVE USL, along with Arkansas State..
They can say whatever they want. Until they prove it on the field, it's all conjecture...and they've NEVER proven it on the field.
Did McNeese participate or win a bowl game in past two years? You do realize ULL is making major improvements to their football facilities.
Of the two programs, which one has the most recent victory against a BCS team??
I'm sure McNeese does, but ULL still looks down on McNeese. :emlaugh:
They try to tell you that...but...deep down....they're scared...
They'll play NC A&T, Nicholls and even Lamar...
But they won't play us.....why do you think that is??![]()
I feel your pain, because LSU won't play Southern or Grambling. We would like to get our hands on some of that LSU's money that a few FCS schools in Louisiana have recently received and Southern's travel cost wouldn't be that much. :emlaugh:
Getting ducked by LSU isn't the same as getting ducked by USL...LSU ain't skeered...
But, I do feel ya on that one...It makes sense for LSU to play McNeese, Southern and Grambling...when we played them, it was - at the time - the largest crowd to ever see an LSU game at home. We brought more fans than any of the SEC squads....except, maybe, Ole Miss...You guys would bring even more than that...as would Grambling....even at 400K, they basically get the game for free because we'd sell more tickets than would be necessary to cover the guarantee....
Do you know the reason why LSU won't play Southern or Grambling? At least they did give us a chance to play and beat them once in baseball.
You can't consider somebody that you only beat ONCE in a 15 year period to be beneath you...I mean, yeah, they managed two ties...but, come on....we're talking about USL..a team with a life-time .459 winning percentage in 120 years of football...they have exactly TWO 9 win seasons...3 eight win season and then a whole LOTTA 6-5s and 4-7s..
Frankly, USL ducking us for 21 years probably helped us....we upgraded our strength of schedule by getting some Division II schools into Cowboy Stadium. If we'd have played USL, it would have only hurt our strength of schedule rankings and our seeding in the playoffs!
Like I said, Southern ultimately did the right thing and paid the buy out clause. We're cool!![]()

If that's what it takes to help you sleep at night kudos to you for finding a defense mechanism. However, ULL got rid of you all quicker than Jindal can make a faux pas. :emlaugh: I can tell you are wounded because you can't bring yourself to addressing them by their proper name. At the end of the day all of the statistics, winning percentages and demagogue lodged against them doesn't erase the fact that they treated you all like a cheap trick. When Southern U decided not to return the trip, it merely brought back to the forefront old demons. I blame ULL for all of the strife in McNeese's athletic psyche. Those damn lowdown Ragin Cajuns are the blame. :emlaugh:

Them Ragin Cajuns/Coonazzes have basically told McNeese they don't want to have anything to do with them. :emlaugh:
Even before the improvements ULL had better/more seating than McNeese (no comparison). Basically since they made the move to drop McNeese they have experienced growth. It seems like the Ragin Cajuns had a better vision and have just outgrown them.
Besides Nicholls State and Southeastern, McNeese probably have some of the worse facilities in the Southland Conference. Even Northwestern State seems to have better facilities and is probably in a better position to move up. And being in Lake Charles, LA does not help their cause.
I believe at one time ULL told McNeese they did not want to play them because if they wanted to play someone from Texas, they would cross the Louisiana border. :smh:  :emlaugh:
When I pass through Lake Charles on my way to Texas, all I see are refineries and casinos mix in together. What a lovely fresh smelling honest town. :emlaugh:

 :emlaugh:
Do you think if McNeese decides to move up, ULL would put a good word in for or block you all from joining the Sunbelt Conference? :emlaugh:
Do you think them ULL Coonazzes in Lafayette got tired of coming in contact with certain trashy elements that came from Lake Charles?
ULL might already have an agreement with the Sunbelt Conference that McNeese shall not join the conference while they are a conference member. I'm sure LaTech might have the same agreement with Conference USA. :emlaugh:
I "shole" wouldn't doubt it. :smh:  :emlaugh:
