I remember you guys alluding to his attitude when his departure was announced. If this is just the beginning, he wont be there long.
For you Valley cats, was he this intense walking the court in Itta Bena?????
Like it was mentioned on TV today, it's easy to get away with that in Itta Bena with only a handful of ESPNU games going to the SWAC. The OVC ain't the ACC but they do get a lot more coverage especially recently with Murray State and recently Kenneth Faireed (sc) from Morehead State. That dog ain't gonna hunt.
Woods just trying to toughen these soft ass kids up.
There is a place for dressing down a player. That wasn't it.
Nick Saban and coach K does it all the time, but when a black guy does its a problem smh.
Isht, Woods would whip one of those kids like they were that girl on that bus in Cleveland if they tried to puff up at him.
No, its not okay to be yelling and putting your hands on a kid that way. As a coach, your are supposed to be a leader of grown men, but with that attitude in such a public forum, what example is he really setting. That kind of crap may have worked back in the day but kids nowdays will eventually lose respect for the coach if he keeps this up. One day he is going try that crap on the wrong kid and end up regretting it forever like Latrells Sprewell's coach if you remember that incident. :no:I don't have that big of an issue with the yelling. However, Woods shouldn't have put his hands on the kid, though. At the end of the day it amounts to an L for Morehead State.

Let me ask you this do you really think that player actually means what he is saying. Cuz I don't, You really think that player is going to come out now and throw his coach under the bus in public. The coach can set a example in different ways than acting like a complete idiotic maniac in public. If you ask me I think he may have anger management issues if you look at his demeanor.Almost every athlete has been yelled at by a coach during a game or in practice at some point in their careers. That's why I say the yelling is not a big deal. It happens during the heat of competition. I've played for all types of coaches in terms of their demeanor. As long the coach respects the athletes, then there shouldn't be a problem. I read one story that quoted one of the Morehead State players as saying Woods' approach makes them better.
