The SWAC and/or MEAC will wise up and stop playing them outside of JSU (I don't want any of our schools to lose money and that's one of the biggest HBCU games period) and they are going to be feeling left out if they see the SWAC/MEAC in a bowl game playing in front of 40-45K in Atlanta on ESPN and they can't get a piece of the pie instead of playing in front of 5K at UT-Martin :lol:.

My high school and Prairie View's current stadium would be a drastic upgrade for a few schools in the OVC. Some barely have a 5,000 seat stadium. :emlaugh:

It was even a sadder day when HBCU football programs started losing money, because they wanted to be like them others folks who didn't care about them and who would rather see all HBCUs closed.

When does playing for championships become trying to be like them? If that's the case isn't playing a 'HBCU Bowl Game' trying to be like them as well?

Another dead crab who can't see that playing in front of them is definitely not a win for us, but playing in front of us on both sides has been a proven win-win situation for us.

You must be one of those Alaskan Snow Craps. I heard Alaskan Snow Craps are some of the best tasting crab meat. :lol: :emlaugh:

I am sure our team and fans would have loved to go play in Montana or Iowa in the 1st round of the playoffs instead of playing in Houston in front of a national audience. lol

I would have loved for Alcorn to travel to Montana, Iowa, or North Dakota to compete for a championship. I'm pretty sure our players and coaching staff would have loved that opportunity as well.

Playing in front of 'THEM' vs playing in front of 'US'??? Man what decade are you living in.....the 50s? Hell I went to the Alcorn/JSU game this year and say plenty of 'THEM' there. Hell our head coach is one of 'THEM'. We have several of 'THEM' on our staff. I'm hoping our 'THEM' coaches can recruit more of 'THEM' to play football for us.

And lost thousands doing so with only a hundred Alcorn fans showing up? Is that what you want rather than making money, allowing your fanbase to celebrate and playing in front of 30,000 plus? You'd turn ALL that down just to go play one game where players have to ride the bus 600 miles away while playing in cold damp snow? You GOTTS to be kidding if you say yes.

You can't have it both ways. If your school's been losing money doing what they've been doing over the past decade or so, why keep doing what's been losing you money? That's called financial irresponsibility.

You've been going to the playoffs for the last 15 years and you're still losing money, yet because of mere ego and pride, you want to continue losing money? Even when you do go to the playoffs, your own fans don't bother to go and support the team. That alone speaks volumes about whether or not MEAC folks really care about the playoffs.
MEAC Presidents are finally waking up and smelling the coffee....IF the rumors are accurate. They're tired of throwing away thousands every year.

It's crazy how some feel the need to get a pat on the head from massa and thats all the playoffs are. The field is not leveled and people always seem to forget it. HBCU's need money so we have to do otherwise. I would rather making money than playing in something to get the approval of massa anyday.
