When you struggling for money. Them playoffs mean nothing. Going broke ain't fun especially when you can't get out the first round consistently.

MEAC schools are in worse financial shape then SWAC schools. Two of their most popular programs are struggling, FAMU and SCState. From my observation of the financial shape of MEAC schools, Norfolk State is probably the only program in the MEAC above water and the only reason why they are above water is due to the high Student Fees that they charge their students to maintain their athletic programs. I wonder who was Norfolk State's president that allowed the students at Norfolk State to pay that much in Student Fees for athletics.

It's that attitude which makes MEAC fans hate this game. You guys are proud of getting us out of the playoffs.
The swac doesn't like the playoffs. Nobody disrespects y'all's choice. We do. So we gotta like the white mans ice and all kinda other mess. We can't just have a difference of opinion. It has to be we think the white mans sugar is sweeter.
If this game is true, and it appears that it is, it's appears to be a sad choice for the MEAC. But what's more sad is that our leaders won't ever come out and stand behind their decision and explain why this makes sense to them. Dennis Thomas won't say nothing.
Well. We'll see.

You have to understand some not all on this board have a crab in the bucket mentality. They are forced to do something so they want others to be in the same situation as them. They don't understand you do what's best for you, I do what's best for me. A MEAC school could win the FCS playoffs and those same crabs will be on here hollering about attendance for the SCG was greater then the FCS finals.
They do it with TSU all the time. We can play Austin Peay, which is 45 mins away. in front of 6.5K and those crabs will be on here talking about how our fans don't want to watch us play OVC schools. Yet that same week our attendance would be higher then 3 of the 5 swac games played.
Personally I think the SWAC/MEAC game will not be well attended unless certain schools are in it. How many people do you think would have show up to watch Morgan State vs. Alcorn St. 20K at best. I think a December game would have to be played in Atlanta. 20K in a dome that holds over 70k feels empty. esp after halftime.

Agreed. If SCSU FAMU A&T are in it it it will draw well. Just as if southern, JSU and a few other from the swac. But this year it would have been Alcorn vs Morgan. Nobody comes to that game. Morgan don't come to their HOME games.
And you are right tsutiger. I know all swac fans don't feel as you mentioned. But some are serious crabs in the barrel. And today they are celebrating. They've pulled us back in the barrel.
Even crabs have the right to celebrate. Look at it this way. Let's you know who the crabs on this board are.

In your case, I guess it's better to be a dead crab in a boiling pot then a live crab in a barrel. :smh: You knee-grows in the MEAC seem to have forgotten who put our azzes in that barrel from the start, but now y’all think the people who put us in that barrel will give us some type of fair treatment in their arena/boiling pot.

Again. We didn't celebrate when southern and suno were having issues. We don't celebrate HBCUs having tough times. We just have a difference of opinion on playoffs. But right away yall go to talking mess about the school and its problems. Like this game would end all those problems.
You got what you wanted. All HBCUs now do what the swac does. Just be happy man. The crabs win

From my time on these boards which is about 7 years it's literally been the opposite of what you said. The scg has been called everything from segregation to c**n bowl. Even now meac fans are calling the thought of this game step n fetch. The level of vitriol towards the swac for not participating in the fcs playoffs has been nothing short of pathetic. With that in mind a level of smugness in the meac presidents finally coming to the conclusion that many on here have held for years is to be expected.

Not by me. And I don't support people who have cslled it that. We just have a difference of opinions. I've never had an issue with the scg. I have only said I wish it didn't interfere with the playoffs so the title winner could still go of they chose to
