naw that game is August 31st . We have Memphis that week after and I heard that damn will be the 3rd game of the season

I agree that AAMU is not on the level to play Jacksonville but at least it's a fellow FCS opponent.

I thought SU had already gone back to McNeese.

The game is barely going to make the SU payout in profit. Im surprised they kicking out that much and why the band have to stay? How far of a trip is that?

I take that back. It looks like the game has the potential to make about $450K if it sells out and the tickets are at least $30-50. So they splitting the profit basically with SU.

2 hour drive. The thing is (i guess), when requesting HBCU bands (back in the day), they weren't always compensated. It costs to feed 150 folks.

I actually mis-read it. I thought the hotel rooms were for the band. For two hours, Im not sure why the football teams needs rooms either... It's a deal that's more than fair. Once expenses are paid, SU should have a lil change left out of the $225K.

I don't know the usual procedures for the football team for short trips, but they may just use the hotel to avoid traveling and playing on the same day.

Our team stays at a hotel for home games. It’s a must they stay the night before. I think one of the casino’s is picking up the tab for McNeese. Even though I don’t like the game , it’s a good deal for SU.
