Re: Jones suspended for season!!!!
Jamal got lucky and his incident happened before the NFL draft when he was involved in that. It just took the Government 4 years to finally charge him with something. Hence the jail time finally coming down with a plea bargain. Not to mention he had no other trouble once he got his NFL paychecks. Also remember Tags was the commish who levied Jamal's punishment. I always thought Lewis got a raw deal anyway. He made a phone call to set some drug deal up between his partners and the Feds happened to be in on it. It happened before the draft and yes he was dumb for doing that, but otherwise he has not been in any trouble that I know of since he got drafted. That crap just kept hanging over his head for all that time. You know how slow the government is on stuff. More than likely they wanted his boy who he organized the deal for. He just got caught up.
As far as Tank Johnson........dude career with the Bears is over more than likely and he will have a hard time getting on a team. Plus we do not know what Goodall is going to do with him either. I am sure he will have to be on some program as well.
Like I said Goodall is letting folks know this is not going to continue to occur. If you already have gotten away with something with little or no punishment then cool. But those days are over. Pac Man, Henry and Johnson made it bad for the others. You know how it goes. The ones who get made an example of are not always the first or only ones who did something. They just got lucky it wasn't them this time.
