NCAA lifts Oklahoma State APR penalty....

Thanks to a player from the past, the Oklahoma State football team won't be missing any practice time in the future.

The university announced Tuesday that the NCAA has lifted the Cowboys' Academic Progress Rate penalty after school officials discovered the recent graduation of a football player from the 1990s. The addition of the delayed graduation pushed Oklahoma State above the NCAA's minimum standard rate of 930.

So they submitted inaccurate data previously and "found" it later? Conveniently the new data helped them gain just enough points to get to 930?

GTFOOHWTBS

But why was that guy included in APR if he played in the 90s? Thats like saying if Darnell Kennedy graduates, they will give AlaState APR credit? Really?

Their athletes are no smarter than ours. Only difference is the knowledge of having the FTE's (Full Time Employees) in place to be creative enough to work "around" the rules of the NCAA.

Check out OSU's Academic Services Staff Directory for Athletics:

Academic Services for Student-Athletes
Adams, Agatha - Assistant Director
Cook, Jeremy - Academic Facilitator
Cook, Jonene - Learning Specialist
Good, Alan - Assistant Director
Henley, Terry - Sr. Academic Counselor
Jones, Nikki - Learning Specialist
Kennedy, Shayla - Administrative Support Specialist
Knecht, James - Learning Center Coordinator
Middlebrook, Marilyn - Associate AD/Academic Affairs
Miller, Brenda - Administrative Assistant
Randolph, Amy - Learning Specialist
Tatroult, Kyle - Writing Center Director

Ditto CLeB. Money!

Oklahoma State doesn't have much to worry about with this guy being able to play the right tunes the NCAA like to hear.

So according to some, the SWAC is full of illiterate dummies that put athletics before academics.

But it's OK for OSU to play with a bunch of illiterate dummies because they (Pickens) got money and was able to "find" missing paperwork (but folks are too damn proud to admit that SU went through the exact same situation)

Watch it 662. GR will come in here and say not to worry about what the "WHITE FOLKS" are doing. Yet he wants us to play by the rules that they wrote and constantly break in a "White" run NCAA. He will say "WE" got to do better. I thought all colleges were places of HIGHER LEARNING.

Man the NCAA can kiss JR's arse. Fugg them mofos. They don't care about APR their damn selves. Hell, when the Power 5 goes official with their plans, they will probably not even allow APR to be mentioned for them as a rule.

it's been 13 years, and you're still not over the 61 Kennedy dropped on your homecoming, huh?

Well they didn't hesitate to call our players dumb when JSU was banned....

What gets me is that they "found" this paperwork from the NINETIES and the ban was immediately lifted. The NINETIES. But an athlete can leave school in good standing at TSU (just using them as an example) to work to help his family and 4 years later they are getting banned.

Wrestling fans will understand this analogy: The APR is nothing more than mythical brass rings that the NCAA puts out there to show that they care about students-athletes. HBCU's get whacked while FSU, UNC, Miami and the big boys have hand scandals for years and they still haven't got punished

Well anyone that pays attention to my posts know that I don't do any name calling to people and especially student athletes when I have said for years that they read this board so save that lie with the "they" especially when it has come from the Valley posters.

You all are STILL doing it to this day and are supposed to be grown men when yall know damn well that APR is nothing but a farce. This OSU situation just proved it.

Stop bro, just stop. You know he wasn't talking about you directly. You can go back and look at the threads from that year that JSU was banned and see what he was talking about. There was a lot of mocking of our players on here when we got banned (not that I care) and most of us could see that the it was about to hit everyone else soon. JSU posters tried to warn the board back then that this thing was about to kill the SWAC but people thought we were just being sore losers.

I agree with you but that didn't stop people.. Valley fans included.. from calling our players dumb... It okay tho.

We talkin about the 90s right now!

When Meyers came on board, she had Coach Braddy and later Mr Johnson ( I believe) to look get their people to find old players to see if we could get points for them. They did that and we got our numbers up. But those "lost" players were there during the Comegy era.
