Dude, SU didn't have a chance to even make it to the NCAA tourney to begin with, so you comparing that sham of a team to JSU's team is laughable.
Yall couldn't even finish in the top half of the SWAC, so please dismiss yourself from this discussion. Thank you.

Once again, I'm not here saying what SU could've done. We sucked at basketball this year. I can admit that. Why are you even in this conversation at all? You didn't have what it took to win the SWAC tournament to get to the play-in game. Ya'll are the only school talkin about what you could've done. What you could've done is a moot point. What part about that don't you understand?

Can we wait and see what these teams do this weekend, before we start thumping our chests.....and didn't both those teams lose thier tourneys last year and were number one seeds, just like us and turned it around this year, just like us....and both lost in the first round of the N.I.T. last year, just like us......I give Morgan the Maryland win but sheesh......

OK, A&T and Morgan State have not played, and they may get whipped this weekend. However, not only did Morgan State win at Maryland, they also defeated DePaul and Marshall. The Lady Aggies have defeated Elon, UNC-Charlotte, and East Carolina.

Again they have not played their tournament games. However, I think it would be a good idea if our schools took a look at what they are doing. They must be doing something right.

A&T ladies also beat #38 Charlotte earlier in the season. Anyways the point isn't about A&T or Morgan winning this weekend but more about them having improved their programs to the point where they can compete with other mid-majors and lower D-I programs.

Please, don't argue with that dude, he is five yards short of common sense. JSU was not good enough to beat ASU, period. Did they have talent? Yes, but not good enough to beat the Hornets.

Wanna know what's sad? I wouldn't be surprised if some of them were hoping that Alabama State would lose just so they could talk shit about what they could've, would've, or should've done. Jim Mora send help.

Dude, PV women would beat NC A&T and JSU or Bama State would more than likely beat Morgan State, however you do get props for making it to the tourney and beating some decent schools.

The MEAC champ has been in the play-in game the last four out of five years, winning only once, so please don't blow what Morgan State is doing out of proportion. Do it consistently, then talk.

Come on bruh, Depaul was 0-18 in the Big East and 9-24 overall....like I said I give them props for Maryland, and I'll wait and see this weekend, I'm hoping they do play OK tough, then you can come on here and say this is how it's done and I'll respect that......

Five yards short of common sense? I know what you are, but that's not the point. I do know that you're the same dude who said that Rex Grossman was a good QB. Nuff said.

Yeah, just like some of yall did when JSU played Florida. It's okay for you to do it, but when the shoe is on the other foot, it's then a problem.

I ALWAYS root for SWAC schools when they play OOC games. Do you? Tell me, who did you want to win tonight's game, Alabama State or Morehead? It's not surprising that you didn't post in Robber's thread congratulating Alabama State on winning the SWAC tournament and wishing them luck in the NCAA tournament.

You're right, but ASU was in every game we played in until tonight.....

Bama State, now what's your point? Yall joke when we lose, but when you lose, you get all uptight.

There's no way in hades Bama State should've lost to a team who lost to Tennessee State (12-18), Grambling (6-23) and FAMU (10-21). That was pathetic and a total embarassment.

You could've avoided all this embarassment by winning Sat......:noidea:, this aint the first time a SWAC team got they butt kick, prolly won't be the last, but carry on.......

Decks & EB,

I would suggest that Alabama State (men) and Prairie View A & M (women) have shown in preseason competition that they can compete against mid-major and low D-I programs.

Dude, they had a bad night, plain and simple. Is there anyway in hades that ya'll shoud've had to rely on a last minute FG to beat Valley, barely beat Stillman, got blown out in the SCG by 32 points, and lost to them damn okras? LOL!! I bet the rest of the teams in the SWAC east were sayin the same thing when Grambling kicked ya'll ass in the SCG. Just a few days ago, ya'll lost to a team who lost to a team who lost to Tennessee State (12-18), Grambling (6-23) and FAMU (10-21). Move on dude, geesh.

Topdog where is this level headedness when the tigers lose. Please show this same love for the Blue Bengals going forward. I mean seriously dude you defending those Hornets something shameful for a Jag.

I tried to root for Bamma State but sorry I'm a JSU tiger first and swac fan next. No hard feelings we didn't show up last Saturday but It was clear early on that Bamma State was not ready to play. Walking the ball up the court. No shooters outside of hayles and he is streaky.

But again Topdog are you serious.....Man we beat you guys silly this season so please stop it now.

Show me where I root against JSU when they play OOC. When JSU played in the NCAA tournament, I was rooting for them just as hard as I was rooting for ASU tonight. The reason JSU gets so much backlash is because ya'll come on here talking so much shit about what you COULD'VE done, what you ALMOST did, what you WILL do, and ignore what you actually did. Nobody else on here is going on about what they could've done but ya'll. Why is that? Yes, you beat us twice, we sucked in basketball, but the title of this thread is "Morehead-State-Alabama-State-open-NCAA," not "What JSU could've done." What you could've done is moot.

You should be nowhere in this conversation dude. Your team sucked, so that automatically disqualifies you from this conversation.
Folks like yourself talk all the smack they want when they want and where they want, but when the shoe is on the other foot, you all of a sudden want to become objective?! Where was the objectivity when we lost to Delta State in football? It was nowhere to be found. If you're going to be objective, be objective ALL the time, not just when it's convenient.

Dude, last time I checked, your school didn't make it to the NCAA tournament either. Your team was sitting at home watching Bama State play on TV just like my team was, so I have every right to be a part of this conversation as you do. Ya'll talk the most shit, so you get the most shit slung back at you, simple as that. Even after you get your ass kicked, you continue to talk shit about what you COULD'VE done, or are GONNA do next time or next year, LOL. Answer me this, why are ya'll the only school in here talking about what you could've done?

I'm not going to speculate on whether Jackson State, Southern, Talladega, or anybody else would have won tonight. And we all know there are some people here who root against certain SWAC schools even during non-conference play, which is truly sad.

But there is no arguing the facts. And the facts are that Alabama State, the SWAC's regular season and conference tourney champions, looked horrible against a pretty bad basketball team. The Hornets didn't attack the rim like they did in the SWAC Championship. They didn't play with the same fire. They missed open jumpers. Didn't adjust on offense or defense. Had little movement on offense. And didn't rebound well.

Our champion, no matter who it may be, has to do better. Morehead State outrebounded ASU 50-27. :shame: And Morehead's tallest player is 6-8. Alabama State came out timid and unsure. Morehead was less talented but played hard, aggressive and at full speed. They had a plan. I hope next season is better because this and the level of SWAC football has me
