Matchups...Plain and simple. The Haws and Cavs are familar with the Celtics and play them 4 times during the season. The hawks had the Celtics on the ropes cause they have the players to match up. The Lakers didn't have the same matchups. The Celtics are in trouble this season. They are missing key guys like poseympj brown and sam I am. They don't have the solid second unit anymore. Oh I agree that the Celts are in trouble this season. Losing Posey hurt us. Not having PJ Brown also, but Posey more so. It's still debatable on whether JSU would've played any better against Morehead. JSU just didn't have what it took to get there, plain and simple, only Alabama State did.

I did.

Now, not to say that JSU was better because clearly AlaState beat us twice this year BUT in all games played, JSU was the only team in the SWAC that could rest starters for long periods of time and STILL win by double digits. I just think that we are an all-around better team that AlaState. But we did play like some bustas last Saturday so.... In two of our losses (valley and the first AlaState game) were were not at full strength while PV just spanked us. We should have beat AlaState in both regular season games and we had no business losing letting Valley come back on us like that....but again, that's all on us.

Dude, why couldn't they use that guard play and better inside game to beat ASU? I'd say ASU's success is more than just getting hot in the championship game. Their record within the SWAC over the last 2 years is proof of that.

Negro we were HOT during all of SWAC play. We only lost two games. You posted all the crap about JSU being better but the fact is that they were not in 2009, especially on March 14th.

Dude, we have been better than AlaState the last three years so uuuum, we ain't losers here. We about to go to 4 straight championship games! ...and we winning this time and if we don't we are going to the NIT. It is clear that the SWAC will come down to JSU and AlaState again and they ain't nowhere near the program we are under the old man Anderson.

Dude you and Sting can go sit down. In big games their lack of offense showed. JSU lost becuase we didn't stick to what got us the 10 point lead. We lead them in every game this year. two of them were for most of the game. So I think we had a better team just lost to a hot Hayles and Co.

No knock on that record but as Brooks and Hayles go so does the team. Nobody else is even and option. All the other guys are cleanup guys.

JSU had 4 scores on the floor and decent subs. Brooks plays all the time only coming out if in foul trouble and so does Hayles.

I said it in the earlier post if Hayles is off you would lose and you did. Deal with it.

And Top Dog we beat you guys 2-0 this year so why are you here again.?

All that crap about JSU OCC sked and having better guards don't matter. The Tigers lost. ASU was the better team and deserved to play Morehead State. All this woulda, coulda, shoulda, stuff is for losers, man. I don't go out my way to down JSU. I don't sugarcoat it. When the team sucks, I will say it.

I was behind Comegy this season when everybody and they momma was wanting that dude on the first Jatran out of town.

The job he did with that team was great, considering the QB and offensive blew.

And the reason I get behind baseball so much because I have seed the improvement in teams in OCC play. That has not been the case in football and basketball the last few years.

But as a said earlier, the conference is down and there is no reason to be saying what team would have done what in a play-in game our conference has not won in five tries. ASU represented all the other nine teams tonight just like Valley did last year against UCLA and JSU did against Florida. And so far everyone believes the SWAC sucks after those game.

I don't blame them because the SWAC has not given any basketball fan in North America a reason to believe otherwise. So, until the conference does something--like win a tournament game after 1993-- then folks can say whatever they want. But now we should shut up and realize the SWAC ain't good enough.

That's what I was wondering.

As far as losing Saturday, the best shooting free throw team missed several front end free throws, something that we normally don't do. That was the difference. Plus that dude Hayles just got lucky, but couldn't drop it in the ocean tonight.

Do you seriously realize how dumb you sound? Of course, if a team isn't having a good game, they will lose. Brooks and Hayles are our two leaders and they played like it. Why would you even bring up JSU having the lead for MOST of the game when they played us? Nobody cares about who has the lead for the longest. At the end of the day it's all about W's and L's.

Funny that you went completely out of your way to publicly "call out" a fellow alumnus when he said nothing about you to begin with. That's about as low as you can get around these TSPN parts, but I guess that's how some folks was raised.

Dude, you're the one that needs to sitcho ass down. You don't see ppl from SU spittin all that garbage about what we would've done. Just like SU did, ya'll lost in the tournament. Accept it and move on. You didn't make it to the NCAA tournament, so why are you here?

Sting, this is what some of them J5U folks do when they lose. They spit all kind of useless stats and other crap when in the end all that matters is the final score, not who lead with 5 mins left, not who had the higher percentage of this and that, etc. Substance is more important than style, but they don't understand that.

Can we wait and see what these teams do this weekend, before we start thumping our chests.....and didn't both those teams lose thier tourneys last year and were number one seeds, just like us and turned it around this year, just like us....and both lost in the first round of the N.I.T. last year, just like us......I give Morgan the Maryland win but sheesh......
