Good post. I can't understand why people are comparing this to the civil rights movement. We didn't find Plymouth Rock, We got hit in the head with the dang rock. Being forced to come here on a ship and jumping the fence to come here can never be compared.

I can get a crew of ten to do work all day for 20 each compare to Pookie and the others who want $50 and lunch.

Down here it's all about the economics.....if you want to stop illegals from coming in CLOSE THE DAMN DOOR!!!!

And pay a decent wage to keep the legal people doing some of those ****ty jobs. Nobody's goona do what they're doing for the rates being paid (hello some of US won't do the work that they do for MORE). Also work on the flawed and constipated (there's a MAJOR backlog) immigration system for those who have to go through a lot of motions to get over and who actually wanna work.

Or better yet, tell those on the other side of the border to better both their economic and political situations so they won't have to jump the border.

True, but of all what was said, before the bolded isn't addressed, what else can you do or really say to them, besides, sorry buddy get your ass to the back of the line? And with what they, and other immigrants (persons going through the constipated channels notwithstanding) wish to achieve here and know they don't have a real chance in hell of achieving in their home country, patience with process and system is NOT a virtue of the strongest suit.
