Yes they do... and the employers are also at fault if they don't take anything out of the checks.

I cashed a check last year like that. I think it was for like $70 and it cost me like $2 to cash it.

How many bosses have mexicans as their ENTIRE WORK FORCE? Probably only Mexican bosses.

I saw a company on the news that was shutting down and paying for the day. He was spending at least 60K to give everyone a days pay. He was white.

Blu I wonder if there are any people on the page who's parents are Hispanic who found this offensive. Also I wonder how many jobs fired African Americans during the million man march and if you thought it was wrong for them to be fired.

You don't realize that these Hispanic people have these rights because of what MLK did in the 60s. That's the reason why they were singing we shall overcome....I refuse to be racist because rasicm is something I fight on a daily basis.

I am black and one of the highest paid people in my company. The President of my company is an African American female and the only people who have not given her any problems are the Hispanics and myslef; everybody else,m white, black, and Asian have pulled her chord to see what they can get over on. One of the Hispanics is the Director of Human Capital, the other is Director of Enterprise Systems Management. My President gave both of them off today WITH PAY because she believes in people exposing wrongs, and fighting rasicm. Guess what, neither took the day off, they are here working because the most effective way to fight rasicm is to show the world they you can do a job RIGHT.

FYI...both of their parents came to the U.S. illegal. FYI...both sets of parents are now citizens....FYI....the Human Capital Director is a 24 year veteran of the Navy, the Enterpise Systems Management Director spent 6 years in the Air Force as a Harrier pilot.....they get much respect from me.

NIGGRO PLEASE! When they were marching in the 60's, it was over the fact that we were LEGAL CITIZENS and had been so for over 50 years. We were faced with the adverse situation of being looked at and treated like 3/5 of a person. The only thing these illegals are trying to overcome is not getting deported. And you cannot make me believe that anyone else in this country has it harder in this country than Blacks. Just look at the Cubans and Haitians. When the Cubans come to America they get the "one foot on land rule"; however, when Haitians came back in the late 90's and early 2000's they were sent back. So in conclusion, if they want the benefits of being American, then they should apply for citizenship like everyone else. If America starts this, then every immigrant who gets in America illegally will have to be granted amnesty.

I have actually co-signed my statement. We marched in the 60s so that people can come to America and be treated equally....FYI all of the people marching are not illegal.

Everyone had their own opinion of why they were marching and this one is mine...secondly which part is not incorrect unless you have polled each and every Hispanic.

Where were you in history class? The whole reason that Blacks marched was so that people of color, living in America, could be treated fairly in America. It was not for immigrants to come here illegally and whine and complain when they are not even documented.

So Hispanics are not people of color? A civil rights should not affect them when they are legally? They should not be allowed to sing We Shall Overcome if they are her legally?

Let's get this straight...the Hispanics are very much so being picked on...how many Africans are here illegally...hmmm you can't tell me there is not at least a couple hundred.

Now again, I do believe in closed borders...but for ALL. Even people from Canada.

You're right everybody who's marching is not illegal. But they are in support of those who are. I don't think Blu's statement was racist at all and shouldn't have been perceived as offensive. It sounded more like frustration to me.

Perhaps your co-workers didn't take the day off because they don't support the marches??? But me personally I'm sorry if their parents came here illegally then they were wrong and the gov't was wrong for accepting him into the Navy. I don't care if he fell on 13 bombs and saved my uncle (Army) he was still wrong and should have been deported.

And that's how I feel today, it not a hard job to find illegals and deport them, the problem is with Americans who look the other way and yes that is an economic problem. That's why I feel all these demonstrations are just for show because the U.S. would never take an actual immigration policy (i.e. enforcing the laws already on the books) because of the economic impact it would/will have.

They both were born here. So by law they are citizens...now their parents...they are citizens now and have been for years and honestly HATE Mexico.

Man we would spend Billions deporting illegal aliens.

I said people of color(that encompasses all non-white nationalities) and civil rights belongs to those of legal status. They have their own civil rights in their respective countries.

The whole workforce is full of illegals?

Several of the contractors I deal with only have Mexican employees. As far as their legal status, I don't know. I do know that they aren't at work today so no work is being done on my projects.

DSN, the civil rights marches of the 60's were for Black people in this country of legal status. We were seeking equal treatment as legal citizens.

I see. Most times when I see this the boss is Hispanic also. Not saying they are illegal (especially not the boss since he owns a business).

Besides....................If these bosses would take 2 seconds and ask for a GREEN CARD, they would not have anything to worry about. Who's fault is it they go out and bring in UNDOCUMENTED workers by CHOICE................not mine.:look:

Paying cash under the table is something WE WOULD ALL LIKE.
My arse would go to jail if I got this treatment, keeping all my money and NOT PAYING TAXES ON IT.:bump:

I totally agree...

What's that I see in the water? A boat? Haitians? Why does the coast guard have guns on them? Why won't they let them in?...
