HBCU Basketball Nov. 21 - 27

TXSU is turning to a nice midmajor program

I said this after the LaSalle victory. Southern is right on their heels. Alabama State has been consistent in conference the last few years but needs to be more consistent against OOC opponents (after the Va Tech victory last year they went flat until SWAC play). We need at least 1-2 more teams to be consistent for a few years to push TSU and SU. JSU did it last year (Alcorn did as well but APR and senior loss will have them back in the pack) and PV seems to be improved. Don't know where Valley will be really until tonight against a team more on our level .

We will compete. We've found Gator replacement with Edric Dennis. And got a couple more guys that can score off the bench

Our women's team lost a 12 point lead at the half and lost to SMU 61-54. That 4th qtr did them in as tht was when SMU got back in the game, they kept it close and was down by 2 with a little over a minute left in the game.
