Folks Getting PO'd - Unarmed Black Teen Killed by Police in MO

Ironically, the only time you've ever answered this question and it's only because you knew it would fit your point lol. The countless times i've asked you this about your very own city of Chicago all you do is deflect. As a matter of fact, isn't the person agreeing with you below from Chicago too? And we're going to use "self hating" as the reasoning? lol... yet, we wonder why we're the ONLY folk whose situation is actually getting worse. I guess some folk only see what they want to see. And let's be real, stuff like this only causes seasonal anger anyway. A week from the day that these protests end black folk will be right back to talking about Real Housewives of Atl. Same way it was after Zimmerman got off. Same way it was with Amadou Diallo. No one will care about killing or murder again until the next black/white incident. Now tell me i'm lying.

You're missing the point(and you're lying).

This isn't about the murder.

Black people are OK with the police arresting and getting murderers off the street.

Black people are not OK with black people killing each other, but we are OK where there is a fair investigation and police arrest the person.

This is about the difference in treatment and punishment for police when they kill someone and for the difference in approach the police sometime take when the person in a confrontation is black vs. when they are white.

Woman calls into talk show and claims to have the Officer's side of the story. Says MB attacked Officer in his cruiser, officer tries to pull weapon and MB grabs weapon. Weapon fires somehow, MB, runs, (no mention of shooting in the back), officer tells MB to freeze, MB freezes...and taunts officer, MB bum rushes officer and officer keeps shooting cause he thinks he's own something, and MB kept coming at him until officer shoots MB in the forehead.

WOW!!!!! Hearing that appears to corroborate what people visually saw, but with added context that COULD answer some of the mystery surrounding what was said/thought during the confrontation. Again though, this is just another 'story' or 'narrative' of how the events unfolded.

And also, for what it's worth, Mike Brown was being portrayed as the 'gentle giant' and 'not wanting to play football because he didn't want to hurt anybody'. Again, all part of the narrative that each side is trying to portray. This whole thing is tragic for all involved. I just pray that everyone in the area calms down and returns some civility to the area....The initial looting and response was bad enough. Last night's looting of hair weave, chicken, bacon, and spirits is embarrassing and not helping how we as a people are perceived.

This lady is a liar. The police dept. has already confirmed that the police officer didn't know anything about the theft at Quick Trip...

I think this woman just screwed the cop by running her big mouth.

Ain't gonna' lie, that wasn't a good look for dude to be man handling that little guy and taking those smokes. Oh well...there goes MB's halo :angel2: But from the twitter feed above, everyone knew MB robbed that store the day this happened. I'd have to blame Ben Crump for letting MB be portrayed like he was some saint. They should have let that out up front. The lawyer representing the friend even said MB robbed that store...but that lawyer said it was "shoplifting", not robbery. Folks really doing some stretching. That's why I'd have to go with the eye witnesses who didn't have any relationship with MB or the cop.

Not entirely...He confirmed that he did not know of the robbery when he made the initial encounter. He left open the possibility that after the officer pulled away, he connected all the dots.

http://www.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/v...ferguson-police-chief-thomas-jackson.cnn.html

This video is why I made the comment that the chief is in over his head and should hire a spokesman....Looks TERRIBLE to release all this info at a mass press conference, then hours later have to come back in a one on one interview and add stuff that you forgot to mention in front of everyone...It just gives the APPEARANCE of impropriety, and even if there is no malicious intent, that appearance of impropriety is enough to fuel and feed the anger we see.

Yeah, and then in the same interview, said "It doesn't matter that they robbed the store..."

And yeah, her statement could potentially screw her friend....That's why I said earlier that this should play out in the investigation, not the public. Everybody painting pictures trying to win friends for their side.
