FCS Playoffs smh

It is hard to imagine the Celebration Bowl doing "Classic" numbers when you are in the midst of holiday season and chances are you might not know if your school is playing until late November. 40k is a great number for attendance and relative speaking the viewing numbers are good also. There is little to no "white" interest in our bowl game, so you can't count on a crossover audience to help grow the in person attendance or the viewership. I said the same thing about the SWAC Championship Game when it was in Birmingham and Houston - whatever the average attendance is overall for the Conference ie if we average 19k as a whole in attendance - then anything past 19k would be great, and I think we have been above the conference attendance mark in every SCG played - but these games will be hard pressed to ever do Classic numbers do to simple economics (how many of our fans can afford honestly to attend the SCG and then The Celebration Bowl in the next week) and it has taken years for the Classics to become the Classics that they are now. We can continue to strive for growth and improvement but let's not beat ourselves up about where we currently are in those aspects.
