Countdown to Season 4: Game of Thrones

Remember during the first season, when Arya was taking her sword lessons with her instructor Syrio, 2 men came and ordered Arya to come with them, saying that Ned had sent for her. But Syrio noticed they were Lannister men and them asked why would Ned Stark send Lannister men for his daughter. Syrio then told Arya to go find her father; he held off the Lannister guards while Arya ran. She ran into one of the secret darkway and hid and then escaped by climbing out a window. She ended up at the stables and saw that her father had their things ready to go back to Winterfell. When a stable boy came out, he recognized her and said that Cersei had people out looking for her (Arya) and that she'd be a nice reward. When he tried to grab her, Arya killed him with Needle.

When she was with the Hound, after Robb and Catelyn were murdered, they came upon some guards that in on the Red Wedding massacre. When she heard one of them making fun of her mother, Arya walked over to them and asked if she could share their fire; she said she had money and offered the coin that Jaqen H'gar gave her. When he went to take it, Arya killed him.

The man at the Inn where she & the Hound went was the man that had killed her friend while she was with Gendry; he was the crippled boy. That's why Arya was happy when she killed him; he was one of the names she chanted every night before she went to sleep.

Yep, I remember that. I stand corrected.

With that said...Littlefinger strikes again. That MOFO will do ANYTHING to get at the top. He's the mastermind behind the death of Jon Arryn.

That's why I posted this in my countdown:

.................two secrets revealed...................

When a man warns you not to trust him..........take him at his word!
GameofThrones4th_zpsae2aefc2.jpg

During the first season, Petyr Baelish warned Ned Stark not to trust him. And yes, it was Petyr and his accomplice that had Jon Arryn killed. But I believe his reason for taking Sansa has to do with Catelyn. After Ned was beheaded, it was Petyr that arranged to have his bones brought to Robb and Catelyn and he delivered them personally. Although he had the ulterior motive of hoping to win Catelyn, I think now he might hope to do some kind of honorable thing by keeping her daughter (Sansa) safe from harm. But he is Petyr Baelish, and he does nothing that won't profit him in the end.

That is one of the major secrets I was talking about; it's major because it's almost the basis of how things got to where they are now. All of this is an aftermath of Robert Barratheon taking the Iron Throne and the death of Jon Arryn, which brought Ned Stark to King's Landing, where he was beheaded.

The second secret will be revealed soon!

Oh, and I almost forgot............that sorry #$%@*&! that was a spy for Roose Bolton is dead!:clap::clap: I really dig how it was Bran that killed Locke, who was on a mission to kill him! Locke was also the man Roose Bolton ordered to hunt down and find Jaime Lannister (he also cut off Jaime's sword hand).

And Jon and Ghost are back together! Glad that Ghost killed Rast; that's what he gets for messing with Ghost!:weee::weee::weee:

What no love for Arya and the Hound??

Arya recognizes a prisoner who threatened to violate her with a stick when Yoren was taking her to the Wall for safekeeping.
“Is he on your little list?” The Hound asks, referring to Arya’s list of people she plans to kill.
“He can’t be. I don’t know his name,” replies Arya.
“What’s your name?” The Hound asks the man.
“Rorge,” he replies.
“Thank you,” says Arya before thrusting her sword Needle straight into Rorge’s heart.
“You’re learning,” says The Hound.

From what I get from reading the books, Petyr doesn't want Sansa. Like he told Lyssa before he "made her fly", the only woman he ever loved was/is Catelyn. The books are very detailed about how much Sansa looks just like Catelyn; just before he kissed Sansa, Petyr Baelish mentioned how much she looked like Catelyn, and was remembering how she (Catelyn) was so beautiful when they were teens. Petyr kissed Sansa out of his memories & feelings for Catelyn; when he looked at her (Sansa), all he saw was Catelyn. For that moment, in his mind, he was kissing Catelyn.

Should we expect anything more from Lyssa's son?

Ok OH, this is from A Storm of Swords (Book 3):

Lysa Arryn had singer named Marillion. He was a young, handsome man, who nobody in Eyrie liked, but he managed to find favor with Lysa and Robert (her son). When Petyr Baelish and Sansa Stark show up in Eyrie, Petyr passes Sansa off as his bastard daughter, Alayne Stone and marries Lysa right away. On their wedding night, Marillion (half drunk) comes on to Sansa, but she fends him off. The next day after Petyr and Lysa's wedding, Petyr reveals who Sansa really is, and Lysa realizes she is truly Catelyn's daughter and accepts her and tells her she will marry her son Robert (Robin).

On that day when they were outside in the snow and after Petyr kisses Sansa, Robert comes out and sees the snow castle of Winterfell and destroys it. Sansa tries to grab him but instead grabs the ragdoll that Robert carries with him at all times and rips it. Robert has a fit and goes and tells Lysa. Marillion is summoned to send Sansa to Lysa. Sansa thinks Lysa is angry at her for ripping Robert's doll, only to find out that she (Lysa) is angry about the kiss Petyr gave her. She then drags Sansa to the moon door and holds her there, while she goes into a tirade about how it was she (Lysa) who always loved Petyr and not Catelyn, and that Petyr belongs to her (Lysa). When Petyr comes in and sees what's going on, he tries to get Lysa to let Sansa go. Instead Lysa, hysterical, goes on about how she loved Petyr so much; she put the poison in Jon Arryn's drink to kill him as Petyr instructed. She sent Catelyn the note saying the Lannister's killed Jon Arryn. She went on about how she told their father that she loved Petyr and how she lost her virginity to him and even once carried his child, and how her father poisoned her to make her miscarry/abort the baby.

All the while, Petyr is keeping cool, playing Lysa by telling her she is foolish in her jealousy and how he doesn't like to see her tears. He tells Lysa to let go of Sansa and come kiss him, in which she does. He then tells Lysa:

Peter: My sweet silly jealous wife. I've only loved one woman, I promise you.

Lysa: Only one? Oh Petyr, do you swear it? Only one?

Petyr: Only Cat.

He then pushed Lysa through the moon door. Marillion is shocked and speechless. After Petyr makes sure Sansa is ok, he tells her:

Petyr: Run let my guards in, then. Quick now, there's no time to lose. This singer's killed my lady wife.

So.....as far as the book goes, Robert doesn't know it was Petyr that killed Lysa, so right now, it looks as if there's nothing to be expected concerning him. BUT as far as the TV series goes, honestly I don't know. I'm interested in seeing how this will play out. I'm guessing Petyr will possibly say Lysa was drunk or sick and accidentally fell. But I won't post what happens in A Feast for Crows (Book 4) what Petyr does to Marillion. Remember, Marillion was there when Lysa spilled out too much valuable information.

Almost at the end of season two.. glad to see the Stark boys were not burned. STILL too many dayum characters for me to keep up ... and the big black man got the dragons. I would have never thought it.. shows you can't trust anyone. That place was turned from an isolated paradise to hell in about 30 minutes.

It has been two days and I am still in awe of what happened at the end of last Sunday's episode. Just Damn! What a brutal world. :|
