Countdown to Season 4: Game of Thrones

MAN, he can't die. He has to get revenge on his family (dad and sister).

Exactly. Plus the prophecy that Cersei received when she was a little girl has to be fulfilled. That's why she has it out so bad for her midget brother! :shame:  In my opinion, I think Tyrion has the potential to be the last man standing when all of the dust has settled. He, Dany, and Jon Snow!

What prophecy? I forgot.

:)

I won't say anything to give events away, but I will say this: author George R.R. Martin has stated many, many, MANY times that Tyrion Lannister is his favorite character.

:x:

You forgot because it hasn't been told yet....not on the television series and it's later in the books. Unless you've read books 4 & 5, you wouldn't know.

Coldsweat just posted a huge spoiler.

The prophecy is actual told in book 4, it deals with Cersi, her sisters, and a fortune teller. That's all I'm saying!!!

I'm reading A Feast for Crows (book 4) now. It started out a little slow but soon I found myself not able to put it down!:):x:

No spoiler, just a hint that there's a reason that Tyrion has so many lives. Ostracized as a baby, but still made it, overcame Dad and his sister's envy of him killing their mom during child birth, overcame the moon door, battle of Black Water, and now the king's poisoning.

This guy has more than 9 lives! His character is obviously being set up to be the "man" later on in the books. You just can't go through all of that stuff in life and still get the shaft in the end! :shame: He has to receive some type of "glory" eventually. It's the same as he and Jon Snow. Both of those characters had a lot to go through to get to this point in their respective lives.

Wait, what? The dwarf can't die.

:)

George R.R. Martin is a little tight-lipped about how his characters will turn out, but he is known for dropping subtle hints. Like any movie/television series that's based on books, it's always good to read rather than entirely depend on the movie/series. There are/have been so many hints as to what will happen to some characters, but you have to pay close attention to what's going on in order to pick up on most things. Game of Thrones (which is, by the way, the title of Book 1 in Martin's series A Song of Fire & Ice) is one of those shows that if you don't catch the very beginning or pay attention, you'll miss a whole lot of stuff.

With that being said, Beans, you'll have to either go back and read books 1-3 to catch up, or just stay tuned in...........because there's a lot that's about to happen.........and to say Season 4 finale is a cliffhanger is definitely an understatement!

All I'm gonna say is if they do what I think they will do next episode folks will be SHOCKED yet again.

No weddings planned. LOL

Jon Snow made it to the season finale, let's see if he makes the final episode. Rose don't make, I was prepared to see Jon go.

Next week they have a lot to cover, mother of dragons, Tyrions death sentence and Jon Snow. I can't wait.

I am bracing myself to the season finale - I wonder what will be the dead body count.

:)

OH, don't always presume or assume there will be a death..................there are plenty other things that could occur that will leave you beyond shocked! But......
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
............don't rule it out either!

And remember, most of the time, with every death, there is another person who comes to avenge that death!:swink::x:

Ok everyone.................get ready...........................find something to hang on to and brace yourselves for the impact!

For some reason, my DVR didn't record the finale, so I ended up watching it at 11pm. All I can say (until everyone else watches it) is that; this is how you end a season!!!

Exactly! That is how you end a season!

Man, The IMP (my favorite character) is a BAD boy. But I was ROTF when he said, after killing Shae, "I'm sorry." Then he goes and kills his dad while he was on the pot. I know Cersei hated Tyrion, but I wonder what her reaction will be in knowing that he did her a favor. It made it that much easier for her not to marry that Tyrell dude.

And that fight between Brienne and the Hound was classic. She kicked his ass!

Arya is finally on her own.

Daenerys locked up her dragons after they killed that little girl, but I thought there where three of them. What am I missing?

There is 3 of them. The black one is still out there. And remember that comment the 3-eyed crow said to Bran Stark. You will never walk again, but you will fly!  He has the gift of the wiger! Man, this is some good writing!
