I agree. As a married man, I try to keep the female friends to a minimum.BILBREW said:A lot of us have friends of the opposite sex that we knew well before we met whoever we are with. Therefore, that shouldn't be a problem as long as everything is on the up-and-up. Basically, old friends should not be an issue because everyone tends to know the deal. However, there may be drama in the midst if a married person is out making new single "friends" of the opposite sex. You will always meet interesting people regardless of your stage in life, but sometimes you have to be wise enough to know what is or could potentially be bad business. In the long run, there is really not much to gain by making new female "friends" while you have a spouse unless you are actually planning on stepping out.

Even though I have friends that I knew way before I met my wife, I try to limit the contact I have with them. I don't want to cause any tension between them and my wife. My wife knows the friends that I had before we were married. Out of respect for her, I don't call them as much as I used to. I may send them an email every once in a while but that's about it.
