Black College Athletes Seem To Be Waking Up

If changing the Mississippi State flag is what the Blackest State in the union needs to light a fire under its Black citizens to make Mississippi into a Black paradise I'm all for it. After this flag change I don't want to hear no more excuses.

We are not out of the woods yet. Tate Reeves and other white leaders will appoint a 9 person commission that will choose the flag and then the people will vote to approve it. They are forcing "In God We Trust" as a requirement to be on the flag

A flag will not change the systemic overt racism that black face. If anything, things will get worse in some places for them. Did I want the flag changed? Yes I did for the simple reason that the flag only represents part of the state, not all. Did it matter, no not really because at the end of the day the flag is only a piece of fabric. If the heart of the people don't change it does not matter. So don't think because this flag is now possibly gone that things truly have changed.

Systemic racism when Black folks are 40% of the population there? Full stop. You're making excuses just like I knew some of you would. If Black folks can't get it on and popping in da Sip when you have the most Black elected officials of any state in the U.S. in addition to the population numbers I've mentioned something is wrong with us! It's not the White man's fault. We are not putting in the work and we are not holding Black politicians accountable.

I feel the same way about Black folks in Louisiana too. Black folks are at least a third of the population there and the majorities in virtually all of the cities yet we don't have jack shit. And, I place the blame squarely on bad Black political leadership.

Kamala, I invite you to a debate/discussion on any and all things politics which can be held over ZOOM, Webex, MS Teams or any other platform of your choice, but what I won’t do is have it via text on a sports board. We can open it up to all whom are willing to join! It will not be a name calling session just one to educate you and those who think like you. I want to respond to some of these ridiculous talking points oh so bad! Let me know.
