Nope, I'll never be gone. No matter who is at the helm, the Sonic Boom of the South will always have my support. I don't know where you get this only Taylor era people can have a say-so thing going, but its definitely a step in the wrong direction.

And if you know him personally, respect his wishes and stop this Davis/Haughton/Taylor/Liddell era crap. It will always be ONE Sonic Boom of the South.

I just find it funny that folks think they know and really don't know- including JSU alums who didn't march and those who THINK they have an inside track. I think it's great there is and always has been (even before Taylor's return) so much interest in JSU and the Boom.

Signed,
CriTAUcal.... who marched all four years in the Boom AND is Zeta Iota of Tau Beta Sigma (former chapter prez too!) :lmao: :lmao:

You left who is also a hazer. :gone:

Crit, we need to turn this interest into donations and stop criticizing those who didn't march, because they out number those who did march and they are the "Boom's" biggest supporters, I'm done, good night.

Actually donations can be made to the JSU's Development Foundation for the Boom. Call the development office. Most of the ones who didn't march are the ones who criticize the most from MY viewpoint and like to make a big wedge in the eras. Those of us who were fortunate to march and be apart of the Boom Family are ALSO big fans of Taylor and glad of his return. And as Frosty has mentioned, if ya'll really know Taylor, then ya'll (and speaking in general) would know that Taylor is ALL ABOUT UNITY. Have a good night! :)

That espn click & pics are from the beginning of jsu band camp. the band is clearly not that size now

The band is smaller because:

1. Some were not used to change or discipline and they quit.
2. Some had jobs or night classes and were not allowed to play in a Dowell Taylor band.
3. Some couldn't read or the play music Dowell Taylor give them during audition and they were cut. (they were just instrument holders in Liddell's band)

Whooo, no smack but I never thought of knew that even existed in the Boom. How and why were they allowed to march if they couldnt read music or play....were numbers that important?

If you are not a member of Phi Beta Kappa, I am not impressed with any other organization you may be a member of.
If you marched in a Lewis Liddell era band, I'm not impressed.

Those same Lewis Liddell era "Boomers" who question those who didn't march, are on the sports page commenting on football, but they never wore a jock strap or played a down of football. I really believe they have some type of inferiority complex when compared to the other eras of the Boom.

Those of you who didn't march in the Boom continue to voice your opinion and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, not even a guy from South of the border.

Why folks so worried about the Boom!? Daymn...now when we, JSU Alumni, start saying that y'all sweating JSU and the Boom and that clearly we must be the most important school in the SWAC, etc. don't get mad and try to call us liars b/c this thread proves that...

I mean...where are the threads on Valley's band, Alcorn, Southern, UAPB, AAMU, etc.!? What's happening down there?! Aren't they going through band camp as well? Why so much attention on the Boom?

:emlaugh:

Crit, close this thread!

Naw, it reinforces what was said about Non-Boomers!! :emlaugh:

Now Crit...you can close this thread so a Non-Boomer can start another thread about the Boom!

I mean...since yall know so much why didn't y'all march!?
