I know in 2007 one school played Neck 5-6 times in one game and then repeated some songs in the 5th. I guess some pages fell out of their book that year...:shame:

Why are the real JSU bandmembers letting these dumbasses speak on their behalf..
SU playing "Neck" is like JSU playn' "Big Ballen"... Neck is pretty much SU's new "It ain't over"
"Neck" just like "It ain't Over" is mainly for the football team, DUMBass....

97JSULEGEND may be dumb, but he is ours. Leave him alone. He's just speaking for himself.
As for songs for the [sports] team ... that would be the fight song. Talkin' Out The Side O' Yo Neck is NOT the SU fight song. Even our dumb folks at JSU know that.

Not trying to start no ish...but how you just gonna call dude dumb and he's with you all
Because dude really is dumb... Dacon is one of the JSU folk on here that don't lie.
He may be a lil misinformed on this issue though... But once Dacon gets information he remembers and he is then educated...
Dumb is when you get information and don't want to use it because you choose to remain ignorant which is dumb..
Dacon,
Know what kind of nuts and dumbasses he have hanging on his side of the fence...
I have to disagree(an i'm not starting ish), I always tell me students that have info and not using it because you choose to is STUPID. Dumb is when you have it but can't comprehend...Just getting my philosiphy out but i feel you

Yes, I pay attention to the number of times that Neck and Big Ballin' are played by each band. They both are played way-ay-ay-ay-ay too much. Here are my rules for stopping this insanity:Dacon,
Some of that rubbish from "your" :retard: is starting to rub off...
SU plays the fight song for Start of games,1st downs and touchdowns...
If you ever pay attention "Neck" usually comes after the fight song, before punts/kick offs SU may very well play "NECK"... Or it may come out of the blue to get the team and crowd hype...
SU football team actually "Request" Neck.... It's a hype song for them...
While you are at it, research why JSU play "Big Ballen" 12 times a game... I am pretty sure it has something to do with the crowd or their football team.
I know I don't here a fight song from JSU after touchdowns and 1st downs..
Not trying to start no ish...but how you just gonna call dude dumb and he's with you all
'Cause it's a free world. And he's not speaking as or for a BOOM member; he's speaking for himself.
This forum is OPEN to people other than former and current band members, you know? You don't have to eat, live and shat band like you do to appreciate or understand the basics of music or hell-- know when a band plays the same song more than once (be it a pep/fight song or power song or ballard).
Yes, I pay attention to the number of times that Neck and Big Ballin' are played by each band. They both are played way-ay-ay-ay-ay too much. Here are my rules for stopping this insanity:
- If you are the home team, you play the alma mater at most twice - once at the start and once at the end of the day. The visiting team plays it only at the end of the game.
- Play your fight song when the team enters the field, any time you score, takeaways, and at the end of the game.
- Have sketches of songs (no more than 8 bars) for first downs, defensive stands, and when the team enters the red zone. Do not use the same sketch for multiple purposes. People at concessions, restrooms, or just lollygaggin' can know when something good is happening for your team and what it is just from what you play. Eight bars of Neck or Big Ballin' would be great for a defensive stand; then, play the full version later for the crowd or just for yourselves - but only once for the entire day. Talk with the team and tell them what you do. Make it work.
- Play your entrance/exit music only when you enter or exit. Boom, take Get Ready out of the stands and out of the halftime show. PLEASE!!!
Music is supposed to be a sign of intelligence. Let's make it so.
Crit,
You are just as dumb as the non- Boom members in this forum...
Please stfu..
I understood Decontinent completely. SU has the biggest book. Yada, yada, yada but somehow they get real redundent sometimes. And I'm sure everyone who went to that game understands where I'm coming from. I didn't even have to say the school. LOL Yet I'm being called dumb trp96. LOL
insert Pot and kettle here...
I can speak freely.
Please consider anger management and intense mental therapy.

This is already done by most schools in this conference- Play your fight song when the team enters the field, any time you score, takeaways, and at the end of the game.
this is ALWAYS done by SU.. can't say the same for your JSU.. I know it's not the JSU you grew up on and played in, but let's keep it 100%
JSU usually plays a rap tune after a touchdown.. h3ll they play a rap tune almost in most cases because of them not having a hired staff arranger.- Have sketches of songs (no more than 8 bars) for first downs, defensive stands, and when the team enters the red zone. Do not use the same sketch for multiple purposes. People at concessions, restrooms, or just lollygaggin' can know when something good is happening for your team and what it is just from what you play. this is when SU usually plays something like a "Neck"....- Play your entrance/exit music only when you enter or exit. Boom, take Get Ready out of the stands and out of the halftime show. PLEASE!!!

Again.. stfu!

:retard: how did this go from FAMu's 250+ freshman class to JSU?!
*looks through thread*
I now see, cause the BOOM historian made an appearance :shame:...not a good look dude
Not being a musician, for US, I can see it in the size of the music book we can pull out on folks. I have seen those guys go on and on with different songs near the beginning of a season when other folks run out of ammo. Not a knock on other bands, but I rarely see others with as much musical versatility.
