How to Get More People to the Celebration Bowl

if they wanted more they would do more - they have all year to do so - but in most areas the bowl game isn't about attracting fans as plenty would've folded - who remembers when the Independence Bowl was an attractive bowl?

I should have the Nielsen ratings for this game no later than Tuesday afternoon. Because of the comeback and multiple overtimes, It should be one of the best TV ratings of the year for HBCU football on network television.

@LAW DAWG @CEE DOG @Fiyah

2.3 million viewers this year!

12% year over year increase is huge

Well now... look at what PV did. :)

One of the most revealing data points from the 2025 broadcast was the diversity of its audience. According to Grant, 63 percent of viewers were non-Hispanic black, 25 percent were non-Hispanic white, and roughly 7 percent were Hispanic.

We'll have 30+ kickers lined up trying to convince coach that they could make 2-2 FGs from those distances we missed and Taqueria Ruby on 290 gonna' get all the 24x7 business lol.

Soooooooo ... you mean to tell me all that talk about 26K and showing an early pic of the game was BS after the TV numbers came through?

It was the usual crowd

As people kept saying, ESPN doesn't care about attendance. Only the ratings and the ratings were highly successful

The CB is now a bankable TV property. We should be happy with that
ESPN Events owns and operates a large portfolio of college football bowl games, including the Celebration Bowl, Cure Bowl, Fenway Bowl, Armed Forces Bowl, Myrtle Beach Bowl, Boca Raton Bowl, Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, Las Vegas Bowl, Gasparilla Bowl, Frisco Bowl, Texas Bowl, New Mexico Bowl, Birmingham Bowl, Hawaii Bowl, and the Salute to Veterans Bowl, with some variations in title sponsorship, all part of their extensive "Bowl Season" coverage shown across ESPN networks.

Scratch htown off that list and htown should NEVER be considered. htown is NOT HBCU friendly. It is sec, big xii, B1G friendly.
Wrong! Houston is winning and Hype friendly. Look at the rodeo now. It's growing every year. Black people coming from everywhere because it's hyped as the place to be seen. Look at the population and economy within a 5-6 hour drive of Houston.

Yoj know how us black folks is. We love to complain and not support then blame the white man for what we didn't support.
I agree but the short notice and turnaround time combined with holidays and holiday travel prices creates a financial conflict of interest for many who would like to attend.
