How to Get More People to the Celebration Bowl

Instead of focusing on two schools we need to offer packages to all schools. That stadium look empty.
It’s hard because the SWAC schools typically have larger fan bases that drive attendance but they can’t confirm which team is going, since the championship game is the week prior. The expanded CFP pushed it up last year from 3rd Sat. in Dec. to the 2nd Sat., which is good for ratings but bad for attendance.

I definitely want see the ratings for this game. Four hours of coverage for HBCU football and both schools, through the heart of the day, can't be beat.
I should have the Nielsen ratings for this game no later than Tuesday afternoon. Because of the comeback and multiple overtimes, It should be one of the best TV ratings of the year for HBCU football on network television.

I agree - the old heritage bowl format on New Year's Eve worked also - now it's a crap shoot cause imagine prairie view playing in Daytona last week and then turning around and going to Atlanta

The locals aren't being driven to the game

Rotate the game ATL-NOLA-Houston and add a four team playoff system
Can’t speak for Houston… But New Orleans can not work. The Louisiana State high school football championships are always the second weekend of December inside the Superdome. Plus that event goes from Thursday - Saturday evening.

Also, the NCAA will not allow a 4-team playoff structure just for HBCUs. That’s against legislative rules and you need a MAJOR injunction to get a like that started.

Five SWAC Univ"s will bring decent crowds to Atlanta and only two MEAC univ's are currently able to. The combination of 2 of the 7 will garner over 30k Houston will not be considered anytime soon again..
That playoff idea may can be developed but MEAC would have to grow first.
The first bowl game of the year is very valuable.
The LA bowl with FBS schools had lower attendance. Don't despair too much.

I will go on record and say if Alabama A&M University makes it we will bring a crowd. We are only 3 hours away. Bham is 1.5 hours away. We have brought decent crowds to Indy, Chi-town and Nashville. Personally yall can kiss our bog Bulldog azz! Never forget we are the "Alabama A&M University Bulldogs". Put some respect on that bytches!
