Can't expect HBCU people to put forth the effort to ... read.
To even consider a different perspective. Taxes that HBCU education too hard.

Now that was a mouthful. WOW!!Yep. Fugg them white bread Uncle Tom folks who went to PWIs. They don't emphasize or sympathize with "the HBCU experience". Have a hard time accepting things we've learned to tolerate. Things we've learned to sweep under the rug. Things we overlook and ignore. They BETTER NOT point out the inadequacies of our schools that could and should be fixed. Get out of here with that white folks thinking that schools should perform effectively and efficiently. Be clean? Fugg that white man's thinking. His brain is broken by thinking the white man's ice is colder.
Fugg them folks. HBCUs don't need their help. We're happy with our negra way of thinking. As long as the voices in the negra echo chamber are saying the same things and makes us warm and fuzzy - that's all that matters.
Fugg them folks.
Did I do it right?
While y'all are saying fugg them folks, many are saying fugg you too. Not bringing their talents, contacts, and resources to places that don't respect them. Places where they are shown that they are unwelcome and unappreciated. For a small amount of pay at a place that is unclean and disorganized and the people don't care because "that's SWAC". That's what it means to be Black. To be HBCU. You have to accept and be comfortable with half-assed sh!t. That's "the HBCU experience". The only thing done well is shucking and jiving.
In the long run, HBCU people will have to take care of HBCU problems. By yourself.
Because insular attitudes from HBCU people may provide solidarity among yourselves, but they are repulsive to others.
So ... yeah ... fugg them. And fugg you too.

You mean like Miami and Florida State? If those schools truly valued them, they wouldn't be here, now would they?Yep. Fugg them white bread Uncle Tom folks who went to PWIs. Have you heard of whistleblower laws? Most colleges have whistleblower policies - even white ones. You can read them online. This idea that people can't criticize colleges without getting fired is ludicrous. If you have a boss, cuss 'em out and tell them all the crap that's wrong your work place, how incompetent they are, how they're screwing the workers, and record it on social media.
Get back to us with how much of a raise you got for keeping it.
Oh wait, that's only for black employers.
Most aren't.You mean like Miami and Florida State? If those schools truly valued them, they wouldn't be here, now would they?
you don't get a contract signed like that so quick - its agreed upon and then ratified by the Board at the next scheduled meeting or a special meeting - surely working at a private school like Miami he knows that
Most aren't.
I recently read a statistic that 9 out 10 Black college students are not enrolled at HBCUs. Regular students and athletes.
So, ... what's your point? Seems like the vast majority reject you just like you try to reject them.
Ed Reed does not appear to be the ntellectual-type. I wonder what gives this man the wherewithall to think that he knows everything about college football coaching and administration and noone else in HBCUdom knows anything. How dare him say that he had done more in a week and a half than some at BCU had done in years. Such a belief only serves to undermine the blood, sweat, and tears that Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune and those following in her footsteps have expended to advance this great institution of higher learning that is still paying dividends to our Black youth today, more than 119 years after its founding. If his recent comments are any indication, Reed appears to be a man lacking for wisdom.
You mean like Miami and Florida State? If those schools truly valued them, they wouldn't be here, now would they?
Seems so simple. What you said is why I tell HBCU grads that trying to discriminate against blacks who went to PWIs will only harm you and HBCUs. The numbers for HBCUs to only hire HBCU grads simply isn't there. So, in other words, work with your people and both sides need to accept criticism and make changes.
Have you heard of whistleblower laws? Most colleges have whistleblower policies - even white ones. You can read them online. This idea that people can't criticize colleges without getting fired is ludicrous.
Sure, there are certain things you can criticize and a way to do it. Being vulgar on TikTok is probably not the way. However, the idea that a person CANNOT criticize a college or university without getting fired is blatantly false.
It's just another shortsighted rationale for accepting mediocrity.
Ed is what some of y'all bourgeoisie folks need. We already know SU wouldn't have hired Ed regardless of his qualifications because he's unapologetically black and looks too street and he's dark skin. Ed went into the NFL HOF looking and talking just like does everyday so he's not changing. Furthermore, Mary McLeod Bethune supported Margaret Sanger so more of us need to know Mary wasn't about shit.![]()
Everything I post makes sense and is right. This makes more sense than the other thing you posted. No one said you can't be critical...but there are ways to do it. Tactfully and professionally. Props to Eddie George.

If you don't understand it, then it's because of your lack of comprehension skills or intelligence.
Never forget ... I'm always right. Never wrong.
Just accept it even if you don't understand it.
Never.Mane please. You be flip-flopping like a fish out if water.
I didn't know Dooley and Big Worm are light-skinded.
I'mmo need for you to apply for a position at PV in a leadership position.Yep. Fugg them white bread Uncle Tom folks who went to PWIs. They don't emphasize or sympathize with "the HBCU experience". So they're good enough to run and jump to make the school money, but not good enough to lead the program. That in itself says plenty, but let's take it a step further. Most aren't.

Those mf's have worked my last bad nerve.
Never.
The words may change, but the underlying principle remains the same. And the principles I stand on are right. They are rock solid and I know that before I say anything.
I stand on principles. While most people speak their emotions of the moment. Something I learned from my father who was a pastor. Stand on principles. Just make sure the principle you stand on is right. If it is, then you can stand right there no matter how many people oppose you. The whole world could be against me, but if my principle is right ... I'm going to win. Even if they take my life.
You're just arguing to be arguing now.So they're good enough to run and jump to make the school money, but not good enough to lead the program. That in itself says plenty, but let's take it a step further.
As I said earlier, they KNOW better than to speak out of line against the white schools. There's a whole documentary about Miami and their corruption. Coaches selling drugs, financial aid scandals, murder, you name it.
Matter of fact, this was last year. https://www.on3.com/college/miami-h...eadsets-devices-penalty-manny-diaz-reprimand/
No Instagram live talking about why Miami needs to be cleaned up? Of course not.
1. He knows his place with the white folks.
2. He has too much respect for them to do anything to damage their reputation (which already isn't good, but that's beside the point.)
That's fine; he should stay on that side though. And as the responses (and his own apology) show, these emotionally charged tirades aren't good for his climb up the career ladder, and likely explain why he was never going to move up under Miami's watch.
I'm defending what he said, not how he said it.What principle are you standing on to defend how ER handled himself?
lol - only reason Miami had him on staff was due to his efforts on the field and alumni still wanting that 1990s Miami image back hoping it rubs off off on the new generation - if someone wanted him he would've been hired nowGuys like Ed could get jobs at a number of PWIs. But, they can skip the line and get head coaching experience at HBCUs because HBCUs need their notoriety, their corporate connections in the way of sponsorships and media attention. Honestly, had Ed stayed coaching in the NFL he might be a DC in the NFL by now.
